DAILY MESSAGES – E. Anderson

11/02/18

PROMISE TO BE APPRECIATED

There is an assurance given in God’s Word that if you are under duress because of insidious temptation, you will not be left to deal with it alone. There is adequate aid at hand that is able to infuse with wisdom, grace and power to be the victor. Hebrews 2: 18 “For in that He Himself was temptedI,  He is able to succour them that tempted.” It does not matter how many require His personal input at the same time, He is easily able to stand by and assist each one. He greatly strengthened Peter and Paul and countless others to obtain conquest. Be assured, He is at hand to afford all that you require so that you can more than master every situation. You will emerge triumphant and wear the crown of victory today!

ERECTING THE ALTAR

If there was one thing every Israelite had to do was to learn how to meet God at an altar in order to know His presence and input. Abraham appears to set the tone, principle and standard in his long life. If he was to become anything of worth and achieve things of significance, he must know how to commune and fellowship with the LORD by the appointed  means. Elijah was a person and prophet who knew how to meet God in the right way and bring Israel into line with Him. Make sure that this is an integral part of your faith and life-style. It must figure as a necessity each day, a place where you meet the LORD and He meets you. If you miss out in this, you will out on all your future prospect and blessedness.

HUMOUR

Dr. Morris, the minister of Glasgow Cathedral, was former chaplain to Peterhead Prison. He tells how his wife came out to the prison and waited to give him a run hone. On one occasion, she was siting with her son in the car. David at that time was about five. A couple of prisoners’ wives and their off-spring arrived and waited at the gate to be opened to admit them for their visit. One of these children, catching sight of David said, ‘My Dad’s in there’. To which David replied with pride and innocence, ‘So is mine.’

QUOTE – a lightening touch

Watching lightening at night, a little girl said to her mother, ‘Is that God taking pictures?’
