Rev. E. Anderson

There are times when you must reflect on your journey with the LORD, to see how He has both guided and provided. Such is to act as a stimulus to faith and expectation in the present. He who has been so faithful and effectual in former days and situations is still up to granting much more for the future. The next chapter is intended by Him to be meaningful and progressive so that you will have much to record and praise Him for. Allow Him greater rule and input and discover the enormous benefits from such an action. There is no deadness or stagnancy with Him. There is life, freshness and glorious attainment. Reflection creates a new momentum that will be invigorating and successful. So go for it!

“A good name is better than precious ointment” – Ecclesiastes 7:1

Because of the genuineness and kindness of your person and being you spread a beautiful aroma wherever you go without saying anything.

Peter in his message to early Christians reveals that they have been blessed: “According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue.” You are called to be like Christ and manifest  His quality characteristics in an ever-increasing capacity. These are the things to added with all diligence – vv4, 55/.

The Quality of Patience – v6. Patience has been nominated as the queen of virtues. Blessed is the individual who is able to keep calm and controlled and has the steadiness to wait for things to develop so that the best result is attained. There are great tests and strains in life that come to try the individual, to find out how they can believe amd wait for answers from God over long periods of time. Such was the case with Job. A study of his life and experience is worth the exercise and time. He came through crushing ordeals and God was pleased with his attitudes even though Job was somewhat mystified at the happenings. Your patience will be rewarded as you trust Him to work out all things for your good.

DIVINE BENEDICTION – Romans 16: 17- 27

The apostle discovered and knew what the benediction of God meant and in closing this letter to the early Christians conferred it upon them twice. In vv 20, 24, he says: “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.” He must have really intended it because of this emphasis. In his own life and service he had enjoyed the matchless blessing of His grace and it had been the resource of untold aid and assurance at all times. When called to face a trial of an enormous nature he had found the grace of God equal to it – see 2 Corinthians 12: 9.

The grace of Christ offers and imparts all that is of Christ, of His person and nature, His wisdom, love, strength, faith, presence and enabling etc., so that life is resourced in every way and fortified to cope with everyone and everything. This blessing gives all, to all, who will receive and enriches in every possible degree and in all situations. Each Christian believer is to be in the happy state where they can know and live with this special benediction resting on them at all times. Paul wanted all the saints to be the recipients of this choice factor.

This is a divine good that is required by every true child of God. It is Christ’s great pleasure to bestow this unique experience on everyone that has come under His Saviourhood and Lordship. God offers you the opportunity of knowing His wonderful grace, with all that it means, today so that you can manage your life and ministry in a most positive and productive manner. All that you lack is more than made up to you in this extraordinary bestowment. Learn to draw on the vast resource of His grace and you will be more than sufficient to attend to all with strength and aplomb.
