One of the essential demands required if one is able to accomplish good and great things is strength. One may have wisdom, monies, gifts etc., but if there is no energy, drive and the capacity to do then all falls flat. There is a call for that enabling power and motivation to succeed. Thankfully, He that created and runs the universe lacks nothing in this area and is able to communicate His ability and vigour to those who know how to relate to Him. The testimony of the Bible is that of people who drew upon His sufficiency and achieved some rather choice things. Look beyond your own weaknesses and inadequacies and live off Him who is omnipotent. Be like Paul who could affirm: “I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me” – Phil 4:13

THE BLESSING OF GIVING – Luke 6:38 – “Give and it shall be given unto you. . .” This promise and assurance came from the greatest Teacher and Giver of all. He knows all there is to know on the subject and seeks to reveal especially to those who would be His disciples the secret to a very blessed and fulfilled life. There are two major points expressed: 1/. There must primarily the desire and will to give to others in the best possible manner. Just one word ‘Give’, no questions asked, just a spontaneous commitment to steeping in truly and fully supplying the needs of others. It is counted as a privilege and pleasure to readily bless whoever and whenever possible – Illustration and example – 2 Kings 4: 8-10. She willingly wanted to bless this servant of God. No ulterior motive. 2/. There are sure to be some blessed returns on such a ministry – ‘and it shall be given unto you’. Christ shows that extravagant giving will be compensated in similar fashion. The returns far outweigh what was given – see 2 Kings 4:11-37. She never thought for a moment she would experience the delight of the extraordinary. All that needs to be done is to follow the directive – ‘GIVE’.

A guy had been out of work for months and was getting desperate to find a job, so he decided to stop by the local zoo and apply for a job there. The director of the zoo said they weren’t hiring, so as the dejected man turned to leave the director noticed how large he was. He stopped the guy and said, “Wait. I have an idea. Our gorilla died a couple of weeks ago and he was our main attraction. It will be months before we are able to get another gorilla. Would you be willing to dress like a gorilla? It would really help us out of a jam.”

Being desperate for work, he took the job. The first few days were incredibly boring, so to liven things up a bit he started doing some tricks and really putting on a show. Before long, huge crowds were gathered to watch what they thought was a real gorilla.

One day, while showing off, he was on a rope and was swinging out over the lion’s cage when the rope broke. He was terrified as he noticed a lion approaching him. He was afraid to scream for help thinking he might lose his job, but was afraid that if he didn’t yell for help he might lose his life. So, he yelled out, “Help! Help!”

About that time the lion spoke up and said, “Shut up! Do you want to get us both fired?!”

WISE SAYINGS – Dr Billy Graham

Only the Christian faith claims that its Leader died and rose again and is alive at this moment. Many gravestones carry the inscription, “Here lies . . . . . ,.” but on Christ’s tomb are emblazoned the words, “He is not he here.”

The word `justification’ as mainly used in the New Testament means `being made right with God through Christ’s death and resurrection’. Tremendous divine blessings are the result of justification taking place in the Christian believer. Namely, there is reconciliation with God, which releases His peace in life and experience. It offers a glorious new relationship with God that gives the privilege of access to Him and His grace, the prospects of a great eternal future, the ability to cope with trials etc.

From this new and strong position, the assurance is of the complete justification of life henceforth from God’s standpoint and enabling. The believer is able to live in accordance with God’s idea of righteousness through His constant input and so at all times there is the rich blessing of God attending everything. As life is lived with new, divine inspiration, there is the doing of those things that both please and glorify God. Thus God is wonderfully positioned to be able to enrich the person in a greater manner and measure. The process of justification and blessing is constant.

All believers must know their rights that come through their faith in Christ as Saviour and Lord. The essential and fundamental fact is that at Christian conversion the soul is made truly and fully right with God on the basis of His grace and through their faith. It is now up to you to enter into your complete inheritance in Christ. Enjoy His peace and access to the Father for all He desires to bestow; know you destiny; be strong in your trials and expect much from your God.
