One of the great contributors to strength and dynamic to the Christian is that of the joy of the Lord. The promise of the Scriptures holds good: “The joy of the Lord is your strength”, and, “you shall go out with joy”. There are so many references to joy to note. A principal objective of Satan is to rob the Christian of his joy. If he can cause depression and gloom he will do so. Rob him of that pleasure by feeding and maintaining that joy. Rejoice because you know the Lord and He knows you; because all your sins are forgiven and forgotten, that your name is inscribed in the book of life, that the promises of God are now yours to be experiences. That the Lord will take you right through until you reach your ultimate destiny, heaven. Have a great day of joy!!!

What God starts He completes: “Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Christ” – Phil 1: 6. God never begins something that He cannot perfect and bring to an absolute conclusion. He has given adequate proof of His infinite wisdom, power, gift and love and in what He has already made known and is visible. 1/. Seen in the Work of Creation – Genesis 1. 2/. Seen in the Creation of the Greatest book of all, the Bible – 2 Timothy 3; 16, 17. Blessed is the person that knows the book and its Author! 3/. Seen in Revelation of God’s Old Testament People, a unique nation! – Genesis 12 and the book of Exodus. 4/. Seen in the Manifestation of Jesus Christ – see the New Testament Gospels. 5/. Seen in the Birth and Growth of the Christian Church – the Acts of the Apostles. 6/. To be witnessed further in the Revelation of a New Creation – Revelation 21 & 22. What assurance should be yours in God!

A woman and her husband interrupted their vacation to go to the dentist.

“I want a tooth pulled, and I don’t want any pain killers because I’m in a big hurry,” the woman said. “Just extract the tooth as quickly as possible, and we’ll be on our way.”

The dentist was quite impressed. “You’re certainly a courageous woman,” he said. “Which tooth is it?”

The woman turned to her husband and said, “Show him your tooth, dear.”

WISE SAYINGS – Dr Billy Graham

“Don’t forget: Without fuel, a fire grows cold – and without the fuel of the Bible, prayer and Christian fellowship our faith grows cold”.

GRACE ALONE – Romans 3

There are two noteworthy things that stand out in this chapter: firstly, that all men are sinners; and secondly, that they are saved from their sins and it’s power on the basis of God’s goodness and grace alone. Paul conclusively proves that every person is a sinner, be they Jew or Gentile. He makes the point “there is none righteous, no, not one” and that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” – vv10, 23. Nobody can justify themselves before the all-righteous God. All fall short of God standard of righteousness and stand condemned by their evil nature and life. They are not able in themselves to live right and be accepted by God

The Good News of the Gospel of Christ is that through Him all can be pardoned and restored into a condition of divine righteousness, be approved of Him, enter into a dynamic relationship with Him and live the kind of life that is acceptable to Him. It is all through Christ and is on the grounds of His love and kindness as manifest in Christ – “Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” – v24. Christ died for our sins so that we might not have to suffer the judgment and rose again to make men righteous and to enable them to life righteously.

In believing in Christ’s death and resurrection a person is truly made right before God on the foundation of God’s grace and mercy alone. Through the indwelling of Christ in the life on that same basis of grace the individual can live free from the corrupting influence of evil. Believe and rejoice in the action that God has taken towards you through Christ. Nothing could be better or surer for the mind and heart to rest in than in a perfect work accomplished by Christ on your behalf. Let your faith lay hold of the full work that Christ has wrought for you by God’s grace.
