THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Thought for the Day follows an instructive theme for everyday of the Week. We now turn our thoughts to another important factor if there is to be positive dealing with God. The word is ‘peace’, a spiritual reality to be entered into if one is to know and extract the best from life.

PEACE – TO FULFIL A DEMANDING VOCATION – Exodus 5 etc.

Moses was called at a difficult time to fulfil an extremely demanding role, to become the leader of an enslaved people and to achieve their freedom and to establish them as a nation. For 80 years he knew restlessness within his being and felt frustrated. It was a very long time to go through this discipline and there must have been times when he wondered whether he would ever make it. But he did!

God met him at the burning bush (Exodus 3) and from that time it would seem a new Moses arose, calm and collected, capable of dealing with a gigantic task. He had to face a formidable an unbending Pharaoh, deal with an undisciplined people and have to encounter seemingly impossible problems. But he rose as a person to take charge and control, proved that he could engage everyone an everything in a state of quietude an peace. How remarkable he could confidently say, with the pursuing Egyptians close by, the impassable Red Sea ahead: “Stand still and see the salvation of your God” – Ex 15.

You have a great task ahead of you to fulfil and you sense your inadequacy and failings. Do not surrender to those emotions and feelings. Expose yourself to the peace and tranquillity of God and heaven and you will cope with all that is before you. Know that you have been called an equipped by your God to more than deal with impossible people and situations. Like Esther of old, ‘you were born and made’ for such in an by God.

SACRED SONGS

Take the Name of Jesus with You

It is a very loving an choice thing that God our Father has given us the use of the Name of His beloved Son, Jesus to be wisely use to bring answers to prayer an blessing to life here and now. He would inspire you to know its worth an power an to employ it in prayer an other situations of a difficult you are to confront. Demons and difficulties bow to that sacred Name an so arm yourself today an use it to supreme advantage. He will honour those who honour Him and His Name.

Today’s hymn is known by two titles – Take the Name of Jesus With You or Precious Name – the latter being the opening words of the refrain and the former the opening words of the first stanza.

Lydia Odell was born in Petersburg, New York on September 2,1809 to parents Jonathan and Mary Odell.  Lydia was said to have been an invalid and bed-ridden most of her adult life.  Nevertheless, she was also known to be an enthusiastic Christian worker.

Lydia and her sister were converted to the Christian faith and were later responsible for establishing a Baptist church in their hometown of Petersburg.  She moved  to New York City after marrying her husband John Baxter, a ship chandler, in 1832.  At least three children, as enumerated in the 1855 New York State census, were born to John and Lydia:  Edgar, John and Lydia.

Lydia continued her Christian service in New York City.  Her home was known as a place where Christian workers, preachers and evangelists would gather for fellowship.  Evidently she possessed a positive attitude despite her illness.  Her friends would say that they would visit her sickroom not to comfort her but to receive encouragement for themselves.

She was particularly interested in the study of Biblical names and loved to discuss the meaning and significance of those names.  To Lydia Baxter, however, the most special name was the name of Jesus.  Whenever asked how she could be so positive despite her physical difficulties, she would reply, “I have a very special armor.  I have the name of Jesus.  When the tempter tries to make me blue or despondent, I mention the name of Jesus, and he can’t get through to me anymore.  The name Jesus means ‘Savior’ and it comes from the same Hebrew root from which the names of Joshua and Joash come.”

Her special relationship with her Savior led her to write hymns, although Take the Name of Jesus With You is the only one which remains in use today:

1/. Take the name of Jesus with you, Child of sorrow and of woe;
It will joy and comfort give you, Take it then where’er you go.

Chorus:
Precious name, oh how sweet! Hope of earth and joy of heav’n;
Precious name, oh how sweet! Hope of earth and joy of heav’n;

2/. Take the name of Jesus ever As a shield from ev’ry snare;
When temptations round you gather, Breathe that holy name in prayer.

[Chorus]

3/. Oh, the precious name of Jesus! How it thrills our souls with joy,
When His loving arms receive us And His songs our tongues employ.

[Chorus]

4/. At the name of Jesus bowing, Falling prostrate at His feet,
King of kings in heav’n we’ll crown Him When our journey is complete.

[Chorus]

DAILY MEDITATIONS

LONGING FOR GOD – Psalm 63

The deepest and healthiest desire that can possess the heart of any person is that of a wholesome yearning for God. The psalmist at the outset makes known this intense longing that dominates his being and that leads him into quest for the Lord. He becomes pre-occupied with seeking Him who means so much to him. The first verse describes the immense feeling he has towards the Lord and knows he cannot be satisfied until God meets and ministers to him in His own unique ways. The craving is like that of an animal in quest for a stream of water in a desert situation.

The reason for this was due to the fact that he had already tasted and known something of the beauty and lovingkindness of the Lord in his affairs. How blessed he had been of Him in so many ways and incidences! This quest led him to meditate on the Lord in the night watches. Day and night he appears to be in holy pursuit of Him because he ever wanted to enjoy the favour of His presence and provisions. The Lord was irreplaceable. No one could stand in for Him. He must find out more of His grace and goodness whilst life and opportunity was his.

It is essential that you not only nurture rich desires in your heart for the Lord and entertain good thoughts about Him, there must also be a divine reaching out for Him until He comes and satisfies you to the limit. This may well mean leaving aside other things that occupy your attention and affection to let Him see that you mean business with Him. The reward for seeking is beyond human estimate. As God breaks through with a revelation of Himself and His abundant mercies, they far outweigh anything else. Let the Lord be first on the agenda today.

FURTHER NOTES ON THE MINOR PROPHETS

(26)

THE COMING RULER

Micah 5

This is one of the most amazing prophecies given to Micah that focuses attention on Israel’s Messiah, Jesus Christ. In the midst of all the difficulties and heartaches he was witnessing, Micah, receives a word of foreknowledge as to what is going to occur with regard the appearance of a unique personality. This extraordinary person to emerge would leave His mark permanently in history and affect the blessedness of Israel in a remarkable manner. There was going to appear an individual who would become renowned and manifest so much good.

1/. THIS ONE WOULD BRING GREAT SIGNIFICANCE TO A PLACE – v 2

Bethlehem, a little town of lowly status would become a venue of great note because of this individual being born there. This place had gained some publicity through David, Israel’s, former monarch, but the birth of Jesus Christ there would give it incredible prominence.  The prophecy was to be later fulfilled and it is recorded in its accomplishment in Matthew 2.

2/. THIS ONE HAS AN ETERNAL EXISTENCE – v2

A simple yet profound statement is made re-this one – “Yet a ruler will come from you, one whose origins are from the distant past.” This certainly is a unique declaration that makes it clear that Jesus Christ did not begin His existence on earth. It voices and accents the eternal and pre-incarnate position of Christ. The one who came had no beginnings and came as man can judged from the eternal past.

3/. THIS ONE WILL GIVE TRUE LEADERSHIP TO GOD’S PEOPLE – v4

He has always had His eyes and interest on Israel. What has been in mind and view was to take ultimate control and give absolute and perfect leadership to this people at the end of the day.  This will be more than natural direction and government, it will be utterly divine and conducted with heavenly authority.

4/. THIS ONE WILL BE HIGHLY HONOURED – v4

What he will achieve will not only benefit and bless Israel, one nation, the whole world will profit from Him and He will be highly exalted by all. Time and history has proven and witnessed the birth not only of Christ but Christianity and it is yet to see a greater display of His sovereign grace and rule.

5/. THIS ONE WILL CREATE A STATE OF PEACE – v5

Another blessed title of this coming ruler is ‘Prince of Peace.’  Through His first advent He has brought into being peace for all men between God and Man through His vicarious and victorious work on the Cross. When He comes again, in all of His regal and legal power, He will initiate an order of peace the world over. Spiritual and natural peace come from Him alone through His Kingship and rule.

Thought for Today

Thought for the Day follows an instructive theme for everyday of the Week. We now turn our thoughts to another important factor if there is to be positive dealing with God. The word is ‘peace’, a spiritual reality to be entered into if one is to know and extract the best from life.

PEACE – LESSON OF A LIFE-TIME – Genesis 25:21,22; 27

Reviewing the life of Jacob it would appear that he found peace difficult to know and maintain throughout his life. Even as a twin in the womb of Rebekah there was an uncomfortable experience tasted! It says “And the children struggled within her…” 25:22. It appears to be a prophecy of what was to be after he put in his appearance. His twin brother was utterly opposite and they never did really get on together. He had a true spiritual bent in spite of his seemingly complicated nature. He had a latent, indescribable hunger for the spiritual but did not go the right way to obtain it.

In taking his flight from his brother and home surroundings, may be thought he would find peace. Taking residence, work and marriage to his uncle’s daughters he may have thought he would fare better. But there was eventual jealousy, anger and disturbance that was difficult to handle from his in-laws. There came the day when he felt he must secretly escape with his wives, children and cattle to get some peace. Then two of his sons brought a load of trouble. There came the awful disappearance of Joseph the son that he truly valued. That really tore him apart! Yet through it all he sense the help of the Lord and finished his days richly prophesying over his sons – Genesis 49 and die quite peacefully. He knew in great measure, through a tough assignment, peace with God and the peace of God. He had to learn it at various stages!

This may me something that has happened and is happening to you. Life does not settle down to a peaceful co-existence with people or your circumstances. You seem to have got through one ordeal with God’s peace enabling then another is thrust upon you. It is easy to fret and wonder where you went wrong. No! It is the Lord taking you through a variety of phases and in each situation you can experience that extra dynamic of His peace. He will keep you, like Jacob, from falling apart and keep you in one piece. There is no way He will leave you on your own to contend.

SACRED SONGS

A Wonderful Saviour is Jesus my Lord

I think that one of the main reasons I love this hymn was it was one of my mum’s favourites. I oft remember her singing it as a solo an I find no difficulty in remembering her with smiling face and good voice heartily singing it. Truly He is a wonderful saviour that secures our well-being in every way and apportions untold blessings on and in our lives.

Frances Jane Crosby, the daughter of John and Mercy Crosby, was born in Southeast, Putnam County, N. Y., March 24, 1820. She became blind at the age of six weeks from maltreatment of her eyes during a spell of sickness. When she was eight years old she moved with her parents to Ridgefield, Conn., the family remaining there four years. At the age of fifteen she entered the New York Institution for the Blind, where she received a good education. She became a teacher in the institution in 1847, and continued her work until March 1, 1858. She taught English grammar, rhetoric and American history.

Since 1864 she supported herself by writing hymns. She resided in New York City nearly all her life, where, she says, she is “a member of the Old John Street M. E. Church in good standing.” She spent regular hours on certain days at the office of The Biglow & Main Co., the firm for which she did most of her writing, and for whom she has composed over four thousand hymns. Her hymns have been in great demand and have been used by many of our most popular composers.

She could compose at any time and did not need to wait for any special inspiration, and her best hymns have come on the spur of the moment. She always composed with an open book in her hand, generally a copy of Golden Hymns, held closely over her eyes, bottom side up. She learned to play on the guitar and piano while at the institution, and has a clear soprano voice. She also received a technical training in music, and for this reason she could, and did, compose airs for some of her hymns.

1/. A wonderful Saviour is Jesus my Lord, A wonderful Saviour to me;
He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock, Where rivers of pleasure I see.

Refrain

He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock That shadows a dry, thirsty land;
He hideth my life with the depths of His love, And covers me there with His hand,
And covers me there with His hand.

2/. A wonderful Saviour is Jesus my Lord, He taketh my burden away;
He holdeth me up, and I shall not be moved, He giveth me strength as my day.

Refrain

3/. With numberless blessings each moment He crowns, And filled with His fullness divine,
I sing in my rapture, oh, glory to God For such a Redeemer as mine!

Refrain

4/. When clothed in His brightness, transported I rise To meet Him in clouds of the sky,
His perfect salvation, His wonderful love I’ll shout with the millions on high.

Refrain

QUOTES TO NOTE – attitude

Adopting the right attitude can convert a negative stress into a positive one – Hans Selye

DAILY MEDITATIONS

QUIETLY WAITING – Psalm 62

Twice it is mentioned, “I wait quietly before God” – vv1,5 New Living Trans. This shows that the composer had entered into a peaceful state of mind and patient attitude. His position was one of real faith in God to do what He is always capable of doing. Instead of being disturbed and agitated there is composure of spirit that rests in the knowledge that the Lord will act in His own way and on time. The alarm bells have ceased to make any nervous impact upon him for he inwardly knows that the Lord has got everything in hand. He is at perfect peace.

He affirmed a little later that this is so by saying, “for my expectation is from Him” – v5.  Unruffled, he anticipated the intervention of the Lord on his behalf. There was a sure confidence in God and His power to move and deal with everything and everyone that may prevent his progress and blessedness. He could safely leave it in the hands of omnipotence to answer what requires His workings. The problem was no longer his: it belonged to God and He would see that it was resolved at the right time. All he had to do was to wait quietly and confidently on the Lord.

The Lord will let you know, beyond any doubt, that nothing ever alarms Him nor is He ever in a place where He cannot perform and produce the necessary answers. He is always in the driving seat and can always act at the appropriate moment to do what is essential for His people. His purpose is to create and nurture in those who desire a relationship with Him and to experience His interventions, a quiet disposition of simple and quiet trust. Do not be alarmed by what is happening but be possessed with the confidence that He knows and will work on your behalf.

PEACE – A Great Experience – Genesis 3

Our first parents, Adam an Eve, knew what it was to experience and enjoy this in their initial life encounters with God their great Creator and Friend. He had special and warm contact with them right at the outset and desired it to continue and grow. Two things were their delightful lot: to know real peace with God as nothing stood between them in any way to hinder close fellowship and exchanges. Then there was the extra blessing of the peace of God which was to save them from all restless worry and anxiety. They could trust Him to deal with their well-being and future. There was all to live for!

Unfortunately they lost these two wonderful boons: peace with and the peace of God when they allowed sin to move in and dictate the scene. Satan, the evil disturber, came to rob them of such priceless possession. In one moment of folly and stupidity they listened and hearkened to his voice and direction and so everything went wrong for these creatures and subsequently the human race. Where sin is you can guarantee there are all kinds of unrest an conflicts!

Thankfully, God has ever been interested in restoring the accord and in a wise and wonderful manner He made it possible for these two benefits to be restored.  Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, came on a mission from heaven to unite God and Man in sacred accord. He died as the Sin-Offering for all men, making it possible for God to forgive men in a righteous manner and then He rose again from the dead an so to come into each life that will receive Him. So He brings God and man together in sweet accord, in fact into a better relationship than Adam an Eve knew at the outset. Today you can have peace with God and the peace of God in your life with all of their advantages.

SACRED SONGS

I am So Glad that Jesus Loves Me

This is possibly the first hymn that we ever learned an has been permanently recorded in our minds an hearts. It is the greatest truth of all that is the inspiration of life and living. Just to know, above all, that God loves you, (yes, warts and all), is a commendable truth to be valued. Let it ring out from your heart and lips today and be assured that you are under His safe  keeping.

Dr. P.P. Bliss, the evangelistic singer and composer, said that he wrote the sacred song, “I am So Glad that Jesus Loves Me,” when he was a young man.

Growing older, however, he realized more deeply how insignificant is our love toward God compared to His love for us.

Hence, in his later years, he wrote that appealing hymn, which children so love to sing—and which is good for grownups too:

1/. I am so glad that our Father in heav’n Tells of His love in the Book He has giv’n;
Wonderful things in the Bible I see: This is the dearest, that Jesus loves me.

Refrain

I am so glad that Jesus loves me,  Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me;
I am so glad that Jesus loves me,   Jesus loves even me.

2/. Jesus loves me and I know I love Him; love sent Him own my lost soul to redeem,

Yes, it was love made Him die on the tree: oh, I am certain that Jesus loves me.

Refrain

3/. In this assurance I find sweetest rest, Trusting in Jesus I know I am blest;

Satan dismayed from my soul doth flee When I just tell him that Jesus loves me.

4/. Oh, if there’s only one song I can sing, When in His beauty I see the great King,
This shall my song in eternity be: “Oh, what a wonder that Jesus loves me”.

Refrain

5/. If one should ask of me, how can I tell? Glory to Jesus, I know very well!

God’ Holy Spirit with mine doth agree, Constantly witnessing – Jesus loves me.

QUOTES TO NOTE – attitude

I believe if you keep your faith, you keep your trust, you keep the right attitude, if you’re grateful, you’ll see God open up new doors – Joel Osteen

DAILY MEDITATIONS

A SAFE REFUGE – Psalm 6

It is helpful to know where to retreat to when situations are overpowering and overbearing. Here we are informed as to what David did when he was overwhelmed – v2 “lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” David recognized the dreadful circumstances he was in and the need to find somewhere where he could experience safety and security. The dictionary defines ‘overwhelm as ‘to overpower the thoughts, emotions or senses of; to overcome with irresistible force; to cover over or bury completely; to weigh or rest upon overpoweringly.’ Each reveals the idea of being submerged and subjugated by factors of a negative order.

The psalmist knew someone who was never overwhelmed and that if he resorted to take refuge under His covering he would be okay. There was the real discovery that the Lord alone was the real rock or cave of safety. To put it in another way as he does: to find shelter under the covert of His supreme wings. Just as a chick finds repose under its mother’s feathers so it is possible to know relief and assurance resting beneath the covering of God’s Almighty wings. He is never overwhelmed by anyone or anything and provides adequate protection for all.

At this hour things may seem to be on top of you seeking to completely crush and destroy. It is just the time to make haste to the One who cares about your well being. He has the capacity to take care of you and all that would overwhelm. Why not discover through this experience that He is capable and willing to deal with all that is endeavouring to humiliate you? Now is your opportunity to prove Him.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Thought for the Day follows an instructive theme for everyday of the Week. We now turn our thoughts to another important factor if there is to be positive dealing with God. The word I ‘faith’, but it is more than word to be known. This is a crucial factor if there is to be fruitful and worthwhile relation with an for God. Nothing of any worth will be known or accomplished without a vibrant and close accord with Him in this all essential.

FAITH – A GREAT, DYNAMIC HISTORY – HEBREWS 11

The most inspiring and memorable writings on faith must be Hebrews 11. The writer is imbued as he is taken up with this outstanding quality that adorned so many lives and brought about great things. He reveals that God himself is filled and governed by it in v3. There is then this clear statement that if any man is to be approved by God then faith must be present an paramount. The declaration is clear: “But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for He that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that He is a rewarder of them that please Him” – v6.

So no one, whoever they may be, will be accepted of God unless they believe in Him and His power and word. History has provided countless examples of ordinary people accomplishing extraordinary things because they dared to believe and trust God. In this 21st century it is possible to read and hear of people who are truly making history and revealing God in miraculous fashion. There is ample evidence that God is still around and in business. There is no way that He is a finished factor but still responds to those who acknowledge His person and power.

And that is where you come in! Just like those in this historic chapter proved God in their day, so can you today. The occasion is now yours to look to Him, trust Him and His Word an see Him work on a great scale in your affairs. You can have your own testimony as to His supreme authority and begin to see the hand and arm of omnipotence at work on a regular basis in your life. The faith that you have can increase and multiply so that even bigger things will be your lot and experience.

SACRED SONGS

Called to Separation, with the Crucified

These are very challenging and inspiring words and verses to sing and mean them. When the call from Christ has been heard and genuinely responded to, the change in life and divine service becomes obvious. Heaven waits for the complete consecration of the saints so that they may be greatly employed to maximum good. One should be inspired an greatly encouraged that have lit up the pathway before by their unstinted commitment an devotion.  It is now your turn an opportunity!

1/. Called to separation With the Crucified, Temples of the Spirit, Saved and sanctified,
Set apart for service, By God’s hand ordained, We the cross have taken, By His love constrained.

Refrain:
Step by step with Jesus, All along life’s way,
Now the cross and conflict, Then the perfect day.

2/. Christ the veil has entered, With the blood He shed,

Sin’s great debt is cancelled, Love’s own feast is spread;
Now in Christ we’re chosen Kings and priests to be, Living off’rings bringing, His own blood our plea –  refrain

3/. Like a boundless ocean Ever rolling in, Comes this flood of blessing, Seeking lives to win;
Who such love can fathom, From God’s heart which flows, Or such grace e’er measure, Which His hand bestows? refrain
Pressing onward, upward, Life grows pure and strong. ‘Tis the vision splendid Saves from all that’s wrong;
In the steps of Jesus, We would plant our own, Blessed path of triumph, Leading to the throne – refrain

QUOTES TO NOTE – respect

A person’s a person, no matter how small – Dr. Seuss

DAILY MEDITATIONS

DOING VALIANTLY – Psalm 60

Having started his Psalm on a note of seeming confession and weakness, he ended it in grand style. He was in a complaint mode at the outset admitting the awful state of the people of God. Instead of being in a spirit and experience of victory they are in defeat and exposed to attack from outside sources. As he progressed, the mind and mood changed and he was excited by divine faith. He was sure there would be a complete turn around and that there would be the delight of multiple success. He did not languish too long in despair but arose in attitude with a belief things would be wonderfully transformed.

He made the bold affirmation in v12 to climax the Psalm, “Through our God we shall do valiantly: for it is He that will tread down our enemies.” Being fortified by God with divine courage, then it was possible to fight and put under one’s feet all opposition. Spurgeon said: “Divine working is not an argument for inaction, but rather is the best excitement for courageous effort. Helped in the past, we should be helped in the future, and being assured of this we resolve to play the man.” The Lord infused David and his men so they were enabled to achieve great exploits for Him and His cause. This man of God was not prepared to settle down and live in defeat when he knew he was born to win.

It may well be you need to ‘play the man’ and become more courageous for God at this hour.  In no way does He want you going around bemoaning your fate but rather to be emboldened by Him in order to take on the enemy and situations that would destroy. Learn to look to God for an impartation of His wisdom and strength so that you can upset and offset all that stands against your progress and success. There are victories to be won and He calls upon you to seek His partnership, and as you do, so there will inevitably come a procession of triumph.

FAITH: INSPIRED, ENERGIZED AND EXECUTED IN AND BY DIVINE PROMISES – 2 Cor 2:20-22; Romans 4;17-21

It is important that every Christian believer discovers one of the real purposes of the Bible. Within both Testaments are assurances given by God of the things He plans to do for those who are in an agreeable bond an relationship with Him. He would enrich them with sacred guarantees that He will bring to pass in their lives as they live in trust and obedience. Abraham is set up as a prime example of an individual who received from God definite pledges of what would be done for him of an incredible nature. And God was true to His words of promise!

Christ, too, sought to teach His disciples that it was important to believe God’s promises especially when they prayed. Not only were they to have faith in but the faith of God an when they prayed to truly believe answers would be forthcoming in line with what ha been guaranteed. He declared: “What things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them” – mark 11:24. You must be  conversant with what God the Father has spoken to you as His son and begin to believe an ask accordingly.

Paul does not leave the issue in doubt as he writes to the Christian believer at Corinth. He states: “For all the promises of God in Him are always yes an so we utter the Amen (so let it be), unto the glory of Go by us” – 2 Cor 2:20. Do not stagger in unbelief but start to lay hold of God’s assurances an let them lay hold of you. Enter into your legacy by faith and begin to see all the good and great things God wills to do for you, here and now, besides eternity!! Be inspired, energized and blessed by the promises of God!

SACRED SONGS

We Never nee d be Vanquished

It is imperative for each Christian to live in constant victory over self, sin, Satan and all kind of conditions. There are different contests and conflicts to be confronted, but in the strength an might of Christ, His Word and Spirit one has the supreme advantage. Chrit was a sovereign winner an so every saint can be, too. So in your battles know that you were born into Christ’s kingdom to overcome. on all occasions against every evil force and foe.

1/. We never need be vanquished, we never need give in,

though waging war with Satan,  and compassed round by sin.

Temptations will beset us, allurements oft assail, but in the name of Jesus  We shall, we must prevail.

Refrain

Victory in Jesu’s Name, Victory our hearts proclaim Victory, glorious victory

2/. God wills not that His people  by sin enthralled should be,

but that their lives, as ransomed,  be lives of victory;  and so at our disposal

He places all His power,  that we from its resources  may draw in danger’s hour.

refrain

3/. Herein is hid the secret of an all-glorious life  whereby we conquer Satan,

and rise above sin’s strife.

Abiding in the Saviour,  self prostrate in the dust, we live to do His bidding  In glad perpetual trust – refrain

4/. We in ourselves are nothing,  a small and feeble host,  nor have we aught of prowess  wherein to make our boast.

Our stronghold is Christ Jesus,  His grace alone we plead,  His name our shield and banner,  Himself, just all we need – refrain

QUOTES TO NOTE – respect

DAILY MEDITATIONS

SOURCE OF STRENGTH – Psalm 59

The psalmist knew one particular aspect of the attributes of His God: He was the God of strength and that His strength was available to him. In v5 he says, “O LORD God Almighty, the God of Israel.” Elsewhere He is named “the Strength of Israel.” All power, life and energy belong to Him and there is nothing that He cannot do. Whatever the demand may be, He is never thwarted or frustrated but is able to perform in magnificent manner. David could affirm, “You are my Strength” and “O my Strength” in vv9, 17. He had learned to look to the Lord daily and continually to strengthen him especially when there was a real call for it.

In the context of the Psalm and his experience at that time he needed an inflow of strength. He faced the possibility of a vicious attack from a formidable foe. Many enemies appeared to be on his doorstep that would have desired his removal. Their threat and malice was enough to weaken him in every way. He could have allowed the spirit of fear to denude him of his vital spiritual strength. This was not to be because the Lord was there to reveal Himself and also to impart all the courage David required to deal with all that stood against him.

Today you may feel at a low ebb, weakened by many confrontations and conflicts. Be reminded once again that the Lord is the means by which vision and strength is renewed. Pull aside from the situation and take time to muse on His great love and power. Allow Him to vitalise and energise your inward being. He who sustains a universe by His almighty power will likewise come inside of you and pour in all that is necessary for your complete renewal. Ponder Isaiah 40:28-31 once again.

The word I ‘faith’, but it is more than word to be known. This is a crucial factor if there is to be fruitful and worthwhile relation with an for God. Nothing of any worth will be known or accomplished without a vibrant and close accord with Him in this all essential.

FAITH PUT TO THE ACID TEST – Habakkuk 3:17-19

Lessons on faith and trust are not easy ones to learn as many have found out. Habakkuk, the prophet, was placed in circumstances where he had problems working out the situation in his day. He was faced with a big conundrum. His people were in a sinful state and he is praying to God to do something about it. When he reveals the steps He is about to take, the prophet is mystified. The Babylonians that he was going to use to judged His people were far more wicked and so it was very difficult to come to terms with it. In chapter 2 God shows him that he has to learn to trust Him when he cannot trace Him and His workings.

Habakkuk comes through with a strong faith after the ordeal and becomes very positive as 3: 17 reveals. He says: “Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be on the vine; the labour of the olive shall fail, an the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls; yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation . . .” What optimism in the experience of such pessimism! His faith stands out and is fully rewarded. Nothing can rob him of his confidence in God!

The Lord will take you sometimes by a strange pathway which is not always easy to interpret or handle. You may not be able to confidently grasp what it is all about. The important thing is to be sensitive that He is with you amidst it and is seeking to nurture and make your faith stronger. If you are aware of this factor, it will help you to not so much question and query and trust Him. Realize above, all, He has your best interests at heart and you will be satisfied with the end results.

DAILY MEDITATIONS

GOD IS JUDGE – Psalm 58

A major role that God fulfils in and over creation and all of His creatures is that of Supreme Judge. Abraham designated Him: “The Judge of all the earth.” In the midst of wickedness and the revelation of evil people, it is apt to recognize this particular factor. The psalmist saw that even those who professed to be rulers and judges failed miserably in their role and were as guilty as those they were supposed to be judging – vv1-5. They were not administers of righteous sentences but acted in a wrong and brutal fashion. The office they assumed was not used to exalt that which was good and right but the opposite.

In this evil circumstance David calls upon the Supreme Judge to deal justice out to these wicked people. He realized it necessitated the rule of the Lord to deal with the people who were perverting the cause of justice – vv6-8. He believed that the Lord would deal with them and they would get their just deserts. The end of the psalm expresses real confidence that the godly will see injustice avenged and that God will honour righteousness in those who live for Him.

In a world where much injustice exists, it is easy to think that such will never be attended to and that evil will prevail. It is also possible to develop a sense of anger and resentment over the fact that people appear to get away without true judgment. Does God really care about this particular factor? He does. There is the need to know and believe that if transgressors and judges do not receive any sort of true sentence in this life, they will not escape in the final halls of justice, where all will face the One who will carry out an honest appraisal and pass the right verdict. There will be no miscarriage of justice by Him.

FAITH – A HEAVENLY LIFESTYLE – Hebrews 11:8-12

A great deal is written about Abraham in the Old Testament, how he became the Founding Father of the Israelite nation. It is quite an outstanding, adventurous story of a man who discovered the best way to live, and that was by simply trusting God every day and in every way. Mind you, he didn’t discover this until he was 75 years of age. (Of course, you don’t have to wait that long!). God wanted him to break out of the rut he was in and start a life as a pilgrim, having to sell up and go on a journey with God to some unknown place, now famous in the Middle East.

He was to challenge him further; to believe for a son at 100 years of age and his wife was 90 and passed child-bearing. Later a greater act was demanded of him. He was called to sacrifice his son, this lad he dearly loved and he responded in a magnificent manner – see Genesis 22. He was of this mind and faith, God would have to raise him from a heap of ashes, if need be, because God promised to bless this boy and make him a progenitor of a significant, powerful nation. He passed the test and discovered God making further promise in the giving him a lasting seed that would be uniquely blessed – vv16-18.

The Lord took the limits of this man’s life and revealed its great possibilities. He would do the same for you!. It is now time for you a His child to believe Him and His incredible promises and witness Him at work bringing choice things to fruition. Abraham is but an example an encouragement for you to note and to enter into a life of pilgrimage, sacrifice, possession and success. Let faith in God and His Word be in your life and lifestyle and see God at work in extraordinary fashion.

SACRED SONGS

This is one of those great songs that has ever impressed and ministered to my spiritual being. What knowledge of strength and assurance seems to flow when once the truth begins to possess and flow through mind and heal! It brings a great sense of Presence an peace whenever I sing the words and express my worship of Him which is always a delight to do. As you voice the words today may they awaken and stir your breast in a divine way. The clouds cannot really hide Him from view!

What though clouds are Hovering O’er Me

Miss Harriet M. Conrey, a daughter of Jonathan Conrey, and a granddaughter of Peter Conrey, percentor of the old Gold Street Baptist church, New York City, was born in New York, November 5, 1838. She was baptized by Rev. Thomas Armintage, D.D., pastor the the Fifth Avenue Baptist Church,but a present she was a member of the Park Avenue Baptist church in Plainfield N. J. Formerly she was a teacher, but on account of ill health she has been obliged to turn to other pursuits.

1/. What tho’ clouds are hov’ring o’er me, And I seem to walk alone,
Longing ‘mid my cares and crosses, For the joys that now are flown,
If I’ve Jesus, “Jesus only,” Then my sky will have a gem;
He’s a Sun of brightest splendour, And the Star of Bethlehem.

2/. What tho’ all my earthly journey  Bringeth naught but weary hours,
And, in grasping for life’s roses, Thorns I find instead of flow’rs,
If I’ve Jesus, “Jesus only,” I possess a cluster rare;
He’s the “Lily of the Valley,” And the “Rose of Sharon” fair.

3/. What tho’ all my heart is yearning For the lov’d of long ago,
Bitter lessons sadly learning From the shadowy page of woe,
If I’ve Jesus, “Jesus only,”  He’ll be with me to the end;
And, unseen by mortal vision, Angel bands will o’er me bend.

4/. When I soar to realms of glory, And an entrance I await,
If I’ve followed “Jesus only!” Wide will ope the pearly gate;
When I join the heav’nly chorus, And the angel hosts I see,
Precious Jesus, “Jesus only,” Will my theme of rapture be.

DAILY MEDITATIONS

CONFIDENCE IN PRAYER – Psalm 57

David had developed a wonderful confidence in God. He knew that when he was in real difficulty who to turn to and that He would step into work on his behalf. He could say with assurance in v7 “My heart is confident in you, O God.” Throughout the past years and experiences the Lord had created and nurtured this conviction within him so that when he was really up against it there was One that would adequately deal with the crisis. His confidence in God had grown in God through many experiences of His intervention and so could and would trust Him for much more.

He appeared to be in straits here as he is being chased and surrounded by enemies that sought his destruction. The psalm was composed when he was on the run from Saul and his men and he required divine interventions. In the threatened situation he wrote and said, “I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfil His purpose for me” – v2. It was to be a period when he would be put under intense trial and pressure but the Lord would more than deal with all that was planned against him. As he prayed he believed that the answer would be forthcoming and that the purpose of God would be outworked in and through it all.

Let your confidence grow in the Lord and in His Word today. Trust Him to move into those situations you are called to face that require His intervention. Remember, He allows things to happen of a critical nature for the purpose of enriching your life with greater faith in Him. The greater the bonding with Him when things are extremely difficult, the more you will discover both His immense love and ability, so a testimony of real worth will emerge in your life.

The word I ‘faith’, but it is more than word to be known. This is a crucial factor if there is to be fruitful and worthwhile relation with an for God. Nothing of any worth will be known or accomplished without a vibrant and close accord with Him in this all essential.

A PRINCIPLE TO WORK BY – Genesis 6; Hebrews 12:7

What was required of Noah and his family in his day when he was called to build a massive boat to house all the animals etc.? At a time when there had been no fall of rain he was called upon by God to build an ark that would provide safety for his family and animals. He really did need to be sure that he got it right but he was ready to take on the incredible job and go down in history in remarkable fashion. The principle of faith was in him and he took on the challenge of believing, no doubt that God would help him and vindicate his commitment.

The amazing thing is that views of the ark have been seen in this day in Ararat thus verifying the Bible account. Noah laboured well in the knowledge he was doing what God expected of him. The agenda was a very big one but he was inspired by the greatness of God and that he was serving real purpose for God and man. He would go own in posterity as a person who was not put off by the largeness of the project required but would know the wisdom, strength an abilities of God to succeed.

So you, too, must keep ear and heart open to what the Lord is calling on you to do at this hour in your life. It is important that you leave a testimony and work behind of a task well-done for Him according to His plan. The principle of faith and trust must always be resident in you and an ever looking to the Lord for the accomplishment of His eternal purpose during your life and stay on earth.

SACRED SONGS

One Day when Heaven was Filled with His Praises

This is a fabulous hymn that places attention on Christ and what He has wrought for all Christian believers. He is to be seen and worshipped as the One who is the central and real focus of faith and life. Oh what wonderful things He has wrought for all His people and so rejoice in Him and His work in our lives1

John Wilbur Chapman (June 17, 1859, Richmond, Indiana – December 25, 1918, New York, New York) was a Presbyterian evangelist in the late 19th Century, generally traveling with gospel singer Charles Alexander. His parents were Alexander H. and Lorinda (McWhinney) Chapman. Chapman grew up attending Quaker Day School and Methodist Sunday School. At age 17, he made a public declaration of his Christian faith and joined the Richmond Presbyterian Church. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Lake Forest College and his seminary degree from Lane Theological Seminary in Cincinnati, Ohio. He completed his ordination into the ministry 13 April 1881, while still attending Lane. He was later awarded a Doctorate in Divinity from the College…

1/. One day when heaven was filled with His praises,  One day when sin was as black as could be,
Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin —  Dwelt among men, my example is He!

Refrain

Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me; Buried, He carried my sins far away;
Rising, He justified freely forever:  One day He’s coming—O glorious day

2/. One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain, One day they nailed Him to die on the tree;
Suffering anguish, despised and rejected; Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He – refrain

3/. One day they left Him alone in the garden, One day He rested, from suffering free;
Angels came down o’er His tomb to keep vigil; Hope of the hopeless, my Saviour is He – refrain

4/. One day the grave could conceal Him no longer, One day the stone rolled away from the door;
Then He arose, over death He had conquered; Now is ascended, my Lord evermore – refrain

5/. One day the trumpet will sound for His coming, One day the skies with His glory will shine;
Wonderful day, my beloved ones bringing; Glorious Saviour, this Jesus is mine! – refrain

QUOTES TO NOTE – respect

It is my goal to love everyone. I hate no one. Regardless of their race, religion, their proclivities, the desire of their heart and how they want to live their life and the decisions that they make. I can even respect people’s decisions and lifestyle choices just as I hope they have the courtesy to respect my decisions and my choices – Kirk Cameron

DAILY MEDITATIONS

AN ACT OF MERCY – 2 Kings 25

The time came when Jerusalem was completely ransacked and the Temple reduced to rubble.  Judah’s king and family were taken to Babylon and suffered at the hands of their enemies. It looked as if the light of the nation and the purposes of God for this people were utterly finished. This was not so. In the background God was silently but effectively working and preserving the royal seed. Johoiachin, a former monarch, had been kept in exile over many years ready for the occasion when grace and mercy would be shown in a beautiful manner.

Another king arose in Babylon and he desired to show kindness and after 37 long years Jehoiachin was released from prison and given preferential treatment. It looked impossible but it happened. The lineage was miraculously preserved in readiness for a later deliverance and fresh start. It meant also that the Messianic line would be kept intact for the birth of Christ, mans’ ultimate Saviour and Lord. The king was to taste of the great kindness of Babylon’s new ruler, an illustration of God’s mercy and grace to all sinners in every generation.

God discovers men and women in awful captivity to sin and Satan and has the power to free and favour them in every way. Not only to see them washed and clothed but to make sure that they are fully provided for. When it would seem that people are resigned to live in bondage and misery, He moves in through Christ to demonstrate His exceeding kindness. Let the Lord show you right now how merciful and kind He is. He will restore all that you have lost and replenish with His fulness.

FURTHER NOTES ON THE MINOR PROPHETS

SOMETHING TO ANTICIPATE

Micah 4

This is a glorious prophetic chapter that heralds and describes tremendous prospects for the Israel of God. Whilst there was much present to dismay, depress and drive to despair, the Lord gives him a great view ahead of time and reveals what is to be in the final end days. This was enough to hearten and encourage him as well as those who would be conversant with the ultimate purposes of God. This is the long-term vision that affirms how things are really going to conclude and, as can be seen and noted, they are to climax on a high revelation. Nothing could be better and they certainly will not be improved upon. It is good to live with these things mirrored before one’s mind and to allow them to dictate faith.

1/. THERE IS TO BE PROMINENCE OF THE DIVINE SANCTUARY – v1

The Temple of the Lord is to be the greatest drawing power as people from all over the world go to worship the Lord at His sanctuary and dwelling place.  There will only be one place and One God to worship and He will be accepted, acknowledged by one and all, and worthy of all adoration. He will be the attractive factor and not simply the building.

2/. THERE WILL BE THE BLESSING OF DIVINE TUITION – v2

The Lord will teach the truth about Himself, His ways and purposes and instruct in the proper faith and conduct of life. There will be no wrong philosophy or ideologies existent only the truth that will be received and duly applied. The teaching will have immediate effect upon the life and lifestyle of all the nations.

 3/. THERE WILL BE THE DELIGHT IN DIVINE PEACE – vv3,4

It is to be the time of international peace to such an extent there will be no weapons of war, no military personnel to engage in conflict as there will be no schooling or training for combat. War will come to an end. Quietness and peace will exist in every household. Not only on the national front but the domestic scene will mirror tranquility. All will know this unique tranquility.

 4/. THERE WILL BE THE RESTORATION OF GOD’S PEOPLE – vv6,7

Israel will no longer be scattered and subjected to the terror of the pagan nations and exposed to all kinds of evils. Grief and sorrow will no longer be their lot because things have been utterly remedied for them. Things could not be better.

5/. THERE WILL BE THE EXERCISING OF THE DIVINE RULE – vv7,8,13

This will be the most wonderful thing and fact of all, the Lord shall be the only potentate and it is to be an everlasting rule. It is the end of all earthly monarchs and dictatorships. Israel will be the leading nation and the Lord will head this people in great style. Israel will dominate – v13 and bring the Lord the treasure.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Thought for the Day follows an instructive theme for everyday of the Week. We now turn our thoughts to another important factor if there is to be positive dealing with God. The word is ‘faith’, but it is more than word to be known. This is a crucial factor if there is to be fruitful and worthwhile relation with an for God. Nothing of any worth will be known or accomplished without a vibrant and close accord with Him in this all essential.

FAITH – THE INSPIRATION IN WORSHIP – Genesis 4:3,4  Hebrews 11:4

It was Adam’s son, Abel that demonstrated faith in the first act of worship recorded and is listed with the heroes of faith in Hebrews 11. It would appear that he had a right understanding and conviction in his being towards God in spite of the circumstances that the first family found themselves to be in. He could have rejected God in view of all that happened and blamed Him for the mess they were in. But He saw things from God’s angle and believed it was only right to please an appease Him in a gracious an generous way by bringing a sacrifice and raising an altar. And he did it by faith!

He saw his opportunity of being able to show to God what he thought about Him. Although he could not comprehend all that had gone before that had broken the sweet accord, he somehow wanted to be spiritually linked up with Him. He didn’t trust his own righteousness but placed his confidence in the innocent, animal victim presented. God loved what He saw and positively responded. He could see that He was being honoured by this lovely man. Abel must have been thrilled with the outcome. God was what he believed He was!

The faith element in your worship of God is a crucial factor. Whilst what is being presented is something of note and pure, it is imperative that your objective is acknowledge the majesty of God and to state your implicit trust in His person and character. Through Christ you are able to do this. Your inspiration to worship God your Father comes by Him, and as you love, serve and give to Him in faith, so you will be justified by Him by His approval and constant blessing.

SACRED SONGS

When we Walk with the Lord

There is no doubt about it, if you want to be a success in   the eyes of God and obtain His favour, these two things are essential – trust an obedience. These two factors please Him immensely and He cannot help respond by bestowing His blessing upon those who perform in this manner. Faith and obedience sanctify the life and enable a Christian to act in manner that switches heaven on. This was the driving principle in Christ’s life because He said: “I always do those things that please the Father” – John 8:29. It is wise and good to copy His example and reap the benefit.

[In 1886,] Mr. [Dwight] Moody was conducting a series of meetings in Brockton, Massachusetts, and I had the pleasure of singing for him there. One night a young man rose in a testimony and said, I am not quite sure…but I am going to trust, and I am going to obey. I just jotted that sentence down, and sent it with the little story to the Rev. J. H. Sammis, a Presbyterian minister. He wrote the hymn, and the tune was bornDaniel Towner

1/. When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word, What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still,   And with all who will trust and obey.

Refrain

Trust and obey, for there’s no other way  To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2/. Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies, But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear, Can abide while we trust and obey –  refrain

3/. Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share, But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross, But is blessed if we trust and obey – refrain

4/. But we never can prove the delights of His love Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favour He shows, for the joy He bestows, Are for them who will trust and obey – refrain

5/. Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet. Or we’ll walk by His side in the way.
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go; Never fear, only trust and obey.

refrain

QUOTES TO NOTE – respect

Respect for ourselves guides our morals, respect for others guides our manners – Laurence Sterne

DAILY MEDITATIONS

STRIPPED IN EVERY WAY – 2 Kings 24

It was an awful day when the land of Canaan, the home of the Chosen Race, was to be stripped and made bare by the foreign forces of Babylon. The Lord had said it would happen to this people and so it came to pass.  The Temple was denuded of its treasures as the conquering foe took them back to their homeland. The choicest of the people were also made captive and take residence in Babylon – vv13-17. All that was to be left were the very poor so that they would never pose a threat to anyone.

The reason for this was due to all the evil that had been perpetrated in the past. A legacy of awful wickedness had to be atoned for – vv2-4. There was no way that this people could remain in the Lord’s possession because they had forfeited their rights by doing everything contrary to His revealed will. In viewing the punishment experienced it unveils the enormity of their transgressions before God. They had been robbed of the best because they had acted the in worst ways, even more than the previous occupants. God had no other option but to expel them.

Wilful, sinful behaviour is sure to reap a harvest.  No one should ever be under any illusions where sin is concerned in relation to God. It has a way of bankrupting people not only of a godly character which is of priceless worth and is the real treasure of life: it denudes in many other ways. It robs a person of God, life, a real destiny and great prospects. Do not permit evil to move in on your life but make sure that it is dealt with so that your standing with God is assured and blessed.

FAITH – A LESSON TO BE LEARNED – Genesis 3

Right from the outset, when God created and formed the first couple, Adam and Eve, He sought to nurture in them basic trust and confidence in Himself and His Word. This was the first major lesson to be learned at the outset. He gave them a simple directive to test their belief system as to whether they would wholly trust Him and His commands. The evil one, Satan, knew this and was quick in seeking to pervert and destroy this governing and guiding factor. He cast doubt on what God had said and the couple fell for the trap set and so bitterly learned that it was a foolish thing to do, to dis-believe and disobey.

It proved to be a very costly factor that brought expulsion from a lovely place to reside to many troublesome experiences. They found to their regret that they had missed out on building a glorious accord with the One who had so much planned for their future. They discovered the curse of evil which brought about a great deal of pain and sorrow. Instead of being fulfilled and going on in an ever-increasing fellowship with God, they were exposed to so much weakness and inability.

When a person is turned on to Christ the faith factor is switched on and a trust in God is implanted. It is possible to know the voice of heaven again and to receive precepts and promises of a worthwhile character that can bring quality and fulfilment to life now on a greater scale. Christ desires you learn the lesson on faith in Him and what He has done and in the heavenly Father He has brought to you. Believe Him and His Word and begin to see life open up again as God has purposed.

SACRED SONGS

I’m not Ashamed to Own my Lord

What a privilege, joy an wonder to be switched on to the message of the Cros of Christ, the most magnificent event of history! What wonderful transactions an transformations take place there when people meet Christ there and see what He has wrought by his death! John Bunyan describe the sin-loaded sinner finding the burden release and rolle out of sight when he viewed the Christ on the Cross an understood its message. It is still the in-message that all men must hear and will make a difference!

Author – Isaac Watts was the son of a schoolmaster, and was born in Southampton, July 17, 1674. He is said to have shown remarkable precocity in childhood, beginning the study of Latin, in his fourth year, and writing respectable verses at the age of seven. At the age of sixteen, he went to London to study in the Academy of the Rev. Thomas Rowe, an Independent minister. In 1698, he became assistant minister of the Independent Church, Berry St., London. In 1702, he became pastor. In 1712, he accepted an invitation to visit Sir Thomas Abney, at his residence of Abney Park, and at Sir Thomas’ pressing request, made it his home for the remainder of his life. It was a residence most favourable for his health, and for the prosecution of his literary labours. He did not retire from ministerial duties, but preached as often as his delicate health would permit.

1/. I’m not ashamed to own my Lord, or to defend his cause,
Maintain the honour of Hi Word, The glory of His cross’

Chorus

At the cross, at the cross, where I first saw the light, An the burden of my heart rolled away,

It was there by faith I receive my sight, And now I am happy all the day.

2/. Jesus, my Lord! I know his name, His name is all my boast;
Nor will he put my soul to shame, nor let my hope be lost.

3/. Firm as his throne, his promise stands, And he can well secure

What I’ve committee to His hands, Till the decisive hour.

4/. Then will he own my worthless name, Before his Father’s face,
And in the New Jerusalem appoint my soul a place.

DAILY MEDITATIONS

A DRAMATIC RENEWAL – 2 Kings 23

Right from the start, as soon as the king was aware of the demands of the Lord there was a full-hearted response.  He was quick in his response and indicated to Him and the people the way he intended to go. Josiah did not leave the Lord in any doubt whatsoever as to where his affections and ambitions were, as he fulfilled the divine requirements. The Scriptures leave no question as to his loyalty and ultimate testimony. It is recorded for all to assess: “Never before had there been a king like Josiah, who turned to the Lord with all his heart and soul and strength, obeying all the laws of Moses. And there has never been a king like him since” – v25. Such is a credible and praiseworthy witness for all to follow.

He commenced in the right manner by calling all the people and in giving the lead to make a righteous covenant with God – vv2, 3. The first thing was the destruction of all the idols and removal of the idolatrous system that caused so much offence to the Lord. He fearlessly set about the sanctification of the land. He also reintroduced the celebration of the Passover, the recognition of the Lord in making them His people. There was a dramatic change that gave immense pleasure to the Lord.

It is imperative that spiritual renewal takes place in these days where manifest degeneracy has taken place. The Lord is desirous of people coming forth who will be daring enough to face the obvious challenge. It will mean drastic alteration at a personal level and the will to believe and act according to the Scriptures. You can be that individual that commences a dynamic reformation for God today. Why not be that person that will make the difference?
