WELCOME TO THIS CHRISTIAN WEBSITE

DAILY MESSAGE

It is ever necessary for you to note the brevity of life and the fact that the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. How imperative you be spiritually quickened and motivated within your Christian faith and life to live with a sense of divine conviction and urgency so that you make the most of the days allocated to you by the Lord. It is so easy to waste time, monies and energies on secondary things, issues of minor worth that will have no bearing on your eternal reward and status. The early apostles were always seeking to keep those first saints on their toes so that they would not treat life lightly and lose out on what Christ’s expectations were of them. Be encouraged by those who formerly were sold out to Christ and His kingdom and proceed down the same track that you will be found in Christ’s Honours List at the Bema seat. It will soon be so be prepared!

SACRED SONGS

I Surrender All

This is a great hymn of consecration and dedication and was usually sung when the challenge to serve Christ in a greater way was presented. Altars were full of people who were ready to respond to Christ in the realisation of His personal sacrifice. May  be it is what is being called for today by the Lord of you!

Judson W. Van Deventer writes: The song was written while I was conducting a meeting at East Palestine, Ohio, in the home of George Sebring (founder of the Sebring Camp meeting Bible Conference in Sebring, Ohio, and later developer of the town of Sebring, Florida). For some time, I had struggled between developing my talents in the field of art and going into full-time evangelistic work. At last the pivotal hour of my life came, and I surrendered all. A new day was ushered into my life. I became an evangelist and discovered down deep in my soul a talent hitherto unknown to me. God had hidden a song in my heart, and touching a tender chord, He caused me to sing.

1/. All to Jesus I surrender; all to him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust him, in his presence daily live.

Refrain:
I surrender all, I surrender all,  all to thee, my blessed Savior, I surrender all.

2. All to Jesus I surrender;  humbly at his feet I bow,
worldly pleasures all forsaken; take me, Jesus, take me now – (Refrain)

3. All to Jesus I surrender;  make me, Saviour, wholly thine;
fill me with thy love and power;  truly know that thou art mine – (Refrain)

4. All to Jesus I surrender;  Lord, I give myself to thee;
fill me with thy love and power;  let thy blessing fall on me – (Refrain)

5. All to Jesus I surrender; now I feel the sacred flame.
O the joy of full salvation!  Glory, glory, to his name! – (Refrain)

QUOTES TO NOTE – CHRISTMAS

Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas – Calvin Coolidge

DAILY MEDITATIONS

IN TRAUMA AND DREAD – 1 Kings 19: 1-10

One would never have thought it possible that this outstanding man of faith and courage would be reduced to a state of trauma and dread; but it happened! Elijah, the fearless prophet is found running away for his life and from the scene that he ought to have faced. The queen’s message suddenly upset and disturbed him so that negativism takes over his spirit. The faith that he had manifested looked to have disappeared as he allowed the devilish word to assume authority in his being. It seems strange and unusual that the Lord allowed this to take place at such a time in his career, but there was a divine purpose in it.

The Lord did permit it because He designed to teach his servant an invaluable lesson. Elijah wanted to die but this was not to be. In a supernatural way the Lord provided for his sustenance so that he could make quite a long journey to a place where he would learn something of major significance that would answer his and the situation of the nation. He would discover that the Lord was Sovereign and in control. The ranting of Jezebel was of little note and worth because God reigned.

At some time or other, there will be events and experiences that will seek to strike terror in the heart and mind which will provoke wrong decision and direction in life.  It is important that you do not permit the outward to dictate the inward, spiritual condition. God wants you to be calm and in control. The best way is to keep up a constant relationship with Him and maintain the truth of His position and power at the forefront of your thoughts. Take on board the promise of Isaiah 26: 3.
