It is important and imperative you be divinely and dynamically led and motivated by God so what you accomplish is through His inspiration, direction and input. As your Lord and Master was filled and guided by the Holy Spirit, so you must follow His example. The provision has been made by God your Father to be led by His Spirit and Word into truth, faith and strength so that you may achieve good things.  Do not go back and fall into the trap of leaning to your own understanding and desires but make certain that you live in submission to heaven, so you will succeed and not be left embarrassed. Today, look and seek for a fresh enduement of the Holy Spirit and He will come to you and meet your spiritual quest and demand. Be lifted on to the divine level and all will be well!

Would you be free  from Your burden of sin

This was an old-time favourite sung at our weekly Gospel Services. Many who became Christians were influenced by this hymn with its abiding truth and dynamic. It was easily learned and became the means of releasing a meeting into spiritual freedom prior to the preaching.

Author: Lewis E. Jones

1/. Would you be free from your burden of sin? There’s power in the blood, power in the blood;

Would you o’er evil a victory win? There’s wonderful power in the blood.

There is power, power, wonder-working power In the blood of the Lamb – Repeat

2/.  Would you be free from your passion and pride? There’s power in the blood, power in the blood;
Come for a cleansing to Calvary’s tide; There’s wonderful power in the blood.[Chorus]

3/.  Would you be whiter, much whiter than snow? There’s power in the blood, power in the blood;
Sin stains are lost in its life giving flow; There’s wonderful power in the blood.[Chorus]

4/.  Would you do service for Jesus your King? There’s power in the blood, power in the blood;
Would you live daily His praises to sing? There’s wonderful power in the blood.[Chorus]

Faith is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark –  Rabindranath Tagore

The next great event as far as Christians are concerned is the return of Jesus Christ, their Lord and Saviour. He gave to His disciples in prophecy the things that would occur prior to this happening. He predicted with certainty those things that would precede the fall of Jerusalem and the ultimate events and attitudes that would prevail just before His actual return. One of the things would be the indifferent spirit of the world and its commitment to a pleasure-minded lifestyle as reflected in Noah’s day – vv37-39. It would seem that this is characteristic of the days in which we live.

The emphasis of Christ is primarily on being ready – vv-40-43. When Christ does return there will be those who will miss out because of unpreparedness. The reason for this is due to their over-involvement in this life’s affairs and a lack of spiritual desire and pursuit. There has to be a wise and total investment of life and gift in the business of His Kingdom and a keen expectancy regarding the King’s arrival –vv45. Serving others and living the kind of life that pleases Him is top priority.

If Christ should come today, would you be ready? It is a searching question and one that requires an answer. Do not put off the issue but let the second coming of Christ not only be a matter of belief, let it form and control your conduct. There is nothing to prevent the glorious advent of Christ so make sure that you are on tiptoe ready to hail His arrival. There is eternal reward for so doing – v46.
