A GOLDEN PROMISE from the Bible

There is great reward and blessings to and on those who show true respect for the Lord’s Name. The prophet proclaims with glorious certainty on behalf of the Lord: “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in His wings” – Malachi 4:2. What an immense and worthwhile benefit becomes the lot of those who show honest and humble regard for the Lord and His name! Heaven’s sunshine and glow will blaze upon such bringing life and health and all the advantages that such means. In honouring Him and showing utmost regard for Him in every way, means that this promise is for you to be claimed and experienced. He will show in an incredible fashion that He is more than able to give life, health, beauty, strength etc. You can live each day with Him shining on you radiating His life and energy and so be kept in a wholesome state. So you know what to do? Fear Him and His name and all will be well!

Thought for the Day

Just as there are natural storms that come to disturb and create unrest and chaos, so there are spiritual tempests and gales that invade and seek to produce havoc and unrest in mind and heart in life. They come without invitation and can suddenly appear without any warning or forecast. Just as the disciples experienced a sudden natural storm at sea and felt it was too big for them to handle, so it can be in your life. Without notice, you can find yourself in midst of circumstances that are horrific and destructive and all your peace and balance is disturbed. Know this; you have on board your life, Jesus Christ. He is the Master of every tempest and can keep you composed when all appears to be falling apart. Be assured, He never will fall apart or desert and will be with you negotiate what appears disastrous. So today, if you are in the throes of a howling tempest, He is with you first all to keep you calm, then to calm the circumstances.

QUOTES TO NOTE – Ronald Reagan

There are no easy answers, but there are simple answers. We must have the courage to do what we know is morally right.

Christ knew what it was to experience great things from the Father. He prayed and desired that all who would be born into God’s Family would know just the same. Throughout His whole career on earth He enjoyed not only communion with His Father but tremendous answers to prayer. For instance, as He stood outside the tomb of Lazarus He made this remark: “I thank You because You have heard Me. And I know that You hear Me always.” Be sure of this, your Father wills the best for all of His children and Christ encourages us to ask of God because of what He desires to do. In v11 He emphasises this: “How much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask Him.” No one should lack in receiving from the Father.

The important teaching is that one must learn to pray with faith and persistence – vv7, 8. The prayer line must be used and developed consistently in the life of the Christian believer. Christ has opened a hot line to Heaven for all of God’s offspring and it must not be neglected. The Father is interested in His children in all that they do and in all their requirements. He chooses to play an active part in provision in many ways. Jesus used the illustration that if an earthly father is committed to his children in meeting their needs, how much more God the Father?

Enjoy today the administration of your heavenly Father in your life and affairs. Talk to Him about your present circumstances and allow Him to inspire you with faith to believe for His gracious interventions. If the answer seems to be delayed, do not despair. Remember this that He works according to His wise schedule and timing. In the end you prove the remarkable grace and generosity of God in all things.
