A GOLDEN PROMISE from the Bible

A Daily Promise

It is not simply a matter of daily praying -‘lead us not into temptation’ but know that the Lord has broken the power of Satan over your life. You can now live and operate in perfect freedom because the favour of the Lord is continually in and over you. The prophetic word spells it out for you to believe and apply – “And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly” – Romans 16:20. He is no longer your ruler and tyrant because Christ is in you as Lord and He has altogether bruised and ruined him. So instead of being conquered you are the conqueror and can enjoy be seated with Christ enjoying daily triumphs       and experiencing the peace of God with all of its attendant grace and advantages. Make this day through Christ, the best day of your life! Let him be the one who sits in misery because he has lost the battle and the ground of advantage.

Thought for the Day

In a world around you that is in a state of confusion, you must not exist in such a condition. There is much that is happening that causes bewilderment and panic that causes a lack of insight, truth and knowledge, which in turn produces despair. This shall not be your lot because Christ, who is the Light of your Life, has lit you up with His presence and affords answers amidst such an awful negative situation. There is no need for you to be disillusioned or distressed because He abides to assure that He can and will deal with this evil. He knows what to say and do and will afford such understanding that you can plainly interpret the times and experiences you are facing. Instead of being traumatised by doubt and fear you will discover his wisdom, certitude and peace and be able to rest in His revelation and guidance.

QUOTES TO NOTE – Dr. Billy Graham

The greatest legacy one can pass on to one’s children and grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in one’s life, but rather a legacy of character and faith.

HOME AT LAST -! Kings 8: 1-21

It was a choice moment when the Temple had been beautifully constructed and finished and made ready for the divine residence. The best had been put into it and now it was ready for occupation. Great preparations went into the occasion when the Lord was to be welcomed into His new home. The Ark of the Covenant, representative of God, was brought up and placed in the newly built sanctuary – v1. It was to be a time of immense celebration and feasting by all in the recognition of this unique event. What sacrifice and joy was in evidence!

No sooner had the priests left the ark in the Holy of holies and fulfilled their task when it says “the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord” – v11. The Lord was pleased to give His benediction on the whole proceedings by causing His Shekinah presence to fill the whole place. It was the ultimate and most vital confirmation that was required after all their giving and labours.  As this took place, the king and all the people must have been delighted and satisfied that all the effort put into the long programme was justified in this crowning act of the Lord. It was overwhelming to know He was amongst them.

It is our privilege to make a home for the Lord in our beings and to invite the Holy Spirit to take up His abode. Having saved and sanctified us to Himself, it is opportune and right to ask Him to dwell richly win and with us by His presence and grace so that our lives will become greatly enriched by His nearness and input. Make sure that He is home at last in your life and know the true wealth of His glory. There can be no substitute for His presence in your life. As He takes abode He will furnish life with everything that is good and positive and make it a habitation that will be admirable and commendable to others.
