A GOLDEN PROMISE from the Bible

 A Daily Promise

According to the assured teaching of Christ, praying in faith holds immense possibilities and accomplishment. He gives this sure word for you to be inspired with and build up with great expectation. “If you abide in Me and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you” – John15:7. Your inward condition, as you ask of God the Father, will be guided and motivated by His word dwelling and be wrought in you. Faith will grow and you will possess His convictions and considerations will be yours knowing that the Father will respond to you as He did for Him. The Lord is about to do some extraordinary things in and for you because you are praying in this kind of manner. Instead of barrenness in prayer there will be such fruitfulness that your testimony will abound as to His workings and intervention. Keep a record of His activity in this. Share and build up the faith of others through this means.

Thought for the Day

You have been lit up by the Light of the world, Jesus Christ, who is the Light of Life. He has lit you up with His own light so that you might see and live in the light of life and from a new inspiration and angle. You are to live and walk in the light that He gives to you on a daily basis so that you make great progress in an all things. He lights up with divine truth by His Holy Spirit and Word so that you can be sure of His purpose sand destiny at all times and succeed in accomplishing those things of true and lasting value. Because of this knowledge, you will be able to rightly assess where you are, what you should do and be given the ability to achieve. The more you receive, live and walk in His light so everything will be clear and convincing and so shall you be saved from the world darkness and ignorance around you.

MIGHTY MEN – 2 Samuel 23: 8-39

This section provides us with a great list of men who served alongside David in his conquests and they are called ‘mighty men’, – v8. They proved to be men of great faith, courage and ability as they faced impossible situations and saw them turned into scenes of glorious victories. David had every reason to be proud as he looked at and reviewed their names, and in some cases their exploits. He, and Israel as a whole, had been blessed by their presence, exploits and example and he could not end his days without making reference to them. They needed to be honoured and given their place in history and so the divine record.

It is more than likely that these defiant and valiant men must have gained a tremendous amount of their inspiration from their king and leader. When they looked at him and his record they were inspired to follow in his track. The nation was where it was because he had given a dynamic lead. All would know of his exploits, especially against Goliath, and be vastly encouraged. That very deed alone was enough to put heart and resolve into them so that they could also prove the help of God in the crises of conflict.

We have a greater David and what battles He won, especially against the wicked forces of Satan and sin, and yet He triumphed. In Colossians 2 we are told that He won an overwhelming victory over them. Our calling is to be super victors on the spiritual battlefield and in our most trying ordeals and when we are at our weakest prove the enablement of Christ’s inspiration and input. Remember with Paul – “I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me” – Philippians 4:1, and that “we are more than conquerors through that loved us” – Romans 8: 37. May you be found on Christ’s honours list because of your successful exploits for Him.
