Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 135,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Daily Promise Box, the Bible,  a Thought for the day from my pen, A Choice Quotation and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible, something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

Within the Bible are innumerable promises given to those who are committed to God in love, faith and obedience. They are of such a quality of character and sufficiency that through their reception and acknowledgement, God purposes to perform in every way in incredible way.  He wants you to know, receive and believe them and see His hand at work continuously through them.

The Christian believer must know what God the Father has to say; be ready then to accept and walk in His way. By so doing He will keep Satan at bay.

A Daily Promise

Guided to Discover a Bride – Gen 24

Abraham was now too old to travel and the right woman was needed for his son, Isaac. She had to come from his own family who was at great distance away. He is strong in faith and the Lord and confident of the trustworthiness of his servant and so sends him on a delicate mission. He says to him “The LORD, the God of heaven . . . . He will send His angel before you. . .” vv7- 7. The servant was assured and as he arrives prays a specific prayer and is quickly answered, Rebekah, coming on the scene and all tied together in a sequence of events. The guidance had worked. The Lord desires to work in this area of marriage union. When I prayed as a teenager for the right young woman to come into my life, He answered. I led her to Christ and we celebrate 62 years of a God-blessed marriage. The same can happen to you and your offspring as you turn to Him, looking for his guidance and workings. Remember he knows people better than you do, where they are and can bring things together in his love, wisdom and power.

Thought for the Day

You must realise at this point in your life and ministry that prayer is to be engaged on a regular basis it you are going to make any real progress with the Lord and contribute things of worth to those around. Your daily contact with heaven is imperative so that you learn to communicate with Him the things of primary concern. If you would experience deep communion with Him then this exercise must not be neglected but promoted at every opportunity. To be the person of authority and influence than you need to live close to Him and learn the secrets that are only discovered in the secret place with Him. Today, He calls you into that relationship through prayer whereby your life can be enriched as He has ordained and that greater fruitfulness be enjoyed. The summons is to learn to ‘pray without ceasing’ so that contact with Him always exists.

QUOTES TO NOTE – Dr. Billy Graham

When wealth is lost, nothing is lost; when health is lost, something is lost; when character is lost, all is lost.

A FEARSOME INCIDENT – 2 Samuel 6: 1-10

Things were on a high. Wonderful victories had taken place and looked to be going well in the progress of the kingdom. All were thrilled and excited with the turn of events that had changed Israel’s fortunes. In the heart of the king was the tremendous desire to honour the. Lord and he sensed that the appropriate thing to do was to bring the ark to the place where it should be, in the city of Jerusalem. It was a noble and worthy gesture and it certainly was the proper action to take.

With what joy they proceeded in the objective. A vast concourse of people with all kinds of musical instruments assembled to take and welcome the ark of God’s presence. Regrettably, it was not done the way it should have been carried out. Instead of consulting the Lord and His Word on the matter, they copied what the Philistines had previously done when they sent it back to Israel in placing it on a cart. The directive of the Lord was that it should be carried on the shoulders of the priests. When the cart shook in its journey, Uzzah did a foolish thing, he tried to steady the ark; it needed no assistance. It was a fearsome moment as he was struck dead and it created ‘fear’ in David’s heart that day concerning the Lord -v9.

There is a lesson to be learned from this incident: we must not act with undue familiarity with God and the things of God. How essential. It is to ascertain His mind and ways at all time. There is always the grave danger of assumption. In its outworking it creates major problems. It is worth spending time with God on all projects so that we discover precisely how we should proceed so that mistakes are not made. Worthy desires and plans are good, but they must be backed up by doing them in the way that He chooses, then we are safe and all will turn out well.
