WELCOME TO THIS CHRISTIAN WEBSITE

Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 135,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible, something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

A GOLDEN PROMISE

Psalm 33:11 (WEB)
”The counsel of Yahweh stands fast forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations”.
In today’s promise, we are reminded that God is steadfast in what He has purposed. The New Living Translation Bible says Psalm 33:11 this way… But the Lord’s plans stand firm forever; his intentions can never be shaken. (NLT)

When God determines to do something, His plans will stand firm forever. He is not fickle or tempermental and He will not be swayed by public opinion or the winds of change. He has fixed His eyes upon us and has purposed in His heart to love us with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3). …And He won’t change His mind!

What our heavenly Father started in the Garden of Eden in Genesis 1, He will see to completion at the end of the book of Revelation. No force in heaven or on earth will be able to prevent His purposes from being fulfilled. We can rest in God’s plan for our lives for the intentions of His heart will remain steadfast forever!

WISDOM THAT WORKS

HUMAN RIGHTS – Rev. Bob Stevenson

“A wicked ruler is as dangerous to the poor as a lion or bear attacking them.

Only a stupid prince will oppress his people, but a king will have a long reign if he hates dishonesty and bribes”.

Read: Proverbs 28:75-16

Whilst there may be a case for believing that the Human Rights cause pendulum may have swung to unreasonable lengths, it is important that the minorities and sometimes majorities of the world be afforded due protection by law.

In these days of instant news images from almost any place on earth, it is heartbreaking to see whole populations and people groups treated so abominably, and with no regard for their rights as human beings. This occurs mostly by unscrupulous leaders who have managed to gain positions of absolute authority and power.

We are now able to view firsthand in the comfort of our lounge rooms, some of the atrocities perpetrated on the masses. These populations, for the most part, have no recourse to justice or redress for obvious wrongs committed against them, so is it any wonder that the cry for human rights is heard? l

All too often it is evident that enormous suffering and human loss has to take place before the world takes notice and begins to do anything about it. Wickedness, dishonesty and corruption are the order of the day in many parts of today’s world, not to mention the sheer stupidity of officialdom deliberately designed to oppress the poor.

Praise God, one day the crooked will be made straight and the rule of righteousness and peace will be ushered in for everyone! Hallelujah! (See Isaiah 40:3-5).

QUOTES TO NOTEHelen Keller

Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.

DAILY MEDITATIONS

BEING IN THE RIGHT PLACE – Psalm 15

It is often said that it so important to be in the right place at the right time. Equally so, it is vital to be in the best place and it would appear that this is declared for us in verse one of this psalm. Reference is made to “dwelling in the shadow of the Almighty” and in “dwelling in your holy hill.” Surely this means living in the presence of God, where He is and where He is known. It means finding a pleasant and permanent residence with the Lord and knowing His company and ministry into life that becomes so inspiring and exhilarating.

No one is left in any doubt whatsoever as to the type of people who can expect to know and enjoy this spiritual luxury. The following verses –vv2-5 makes clear the quality people that can be certain of being able to live and dwell in the right place, knowing God and His blessing. It is a matter of living positively and spiritually: working righteousness at all times in life’s relationships, especially guarding the tongue and rejecting evil doers, and honouring those that fear the Lord There is also the proper use of money and the refusal to take bribes against the innocent.

There is no reason why you cannot know this experience of being in the right place all the time. You can live with God and God can live in and through you and so you will be enriched in every way. As you apply the ways of righteousness in all your affairs, you will always have recourse to God and to have Him as your refuge and reward.
