Rev. E. Anderson

Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 130,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible. something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

“the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment” – 2 Peter 2;9

There are plenty of troubles that come in the package of fallen humanity. This is not how our God and Father first intended it to be. Our Heavenly Dad’s intent was that Adam and Eve would not have sinned and would have lived forever in the safety and security of the garden of Eden

Living in a place of unconditional love and protection, they wouldn’t have even had a frame of reference for the word ‘trouble’. And of course, that would have meant that every generation since them would have enjoyed the same benefits.

We do not have the time or space to unpack the consequences of their decision back in the garden, but it is important for each one of us to know that God’s intent for us has never changed. His heart has always been that we would all live with Him in a place of safety and security (Psalm 91), living in the secret place of the Most High.

Just before Jesus went to the cross, He spoke these words to His disciples in John 16:33… “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (NIV)

Troubles do come whether we like it or not. Be comforted in knowing that our Elder Brother and Savior has overcome the world and our Heavenly Father has promised to rescue us from all our troubles.  May the reality of this promise go deep into each one of our hearts today.

FIRST THINGS FIRST – Rev. Bob Stevenson

“Develop your business first before building your house”

Read.” Proverbs 24:27

The great Aussie Dream of owning your home is promoted ad infinitum through media advertising of the various financial institutions. This is born out by the statistics that Australia has the highest per-capita home ownership than any other country in the world.

Now this is all well and good as a worthy objective, because as we know, real estate one of the most secure assets you can possess. However, it is not the ‘be all and end all’ of experiences. Happy are the people who have their priorities right when it comes to the valued investment of their precious human resources.

The first priority is not the building of your dream home. The first priority is the building of your skills that will enable you to get your dream home. Build your knowledge base first because with knowledge there is power. The power to choose what is best for you. The power to invest your time and energy in the pursuit of the skills that will enable you, along with God’s blessing on your life, to create wealth. The power to provide for yourself with an income that will not only meet your personal needs, but eventually all those who will be looking to you to provide for them. Proverbs is right. Put first things first, then build your house.

A QUOTE TO NOTE  Abraham Lincoln

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

A RICH REWARD – 1 SAMUEL 2: 21; Job 42

Little did Hannah know what was in store for her. She was content in the fact that her barren days were over and that she was a mother. That gave her great relief and gratitude. But it didn’t stop at that. The Lord saw the genuine spirituality and commitment of her life and decided on something else that would rich bless and enhance her. There was to be a rich reward of a divine kind that would bless her for the remaining days of her life.

The great compensating factor lay in two directions: addition to the family of a further three sons and two daughters, and on top of that, she was to see her firstborn rise to be the beginning of a new line of prophetic ministry. He was to carry great spiritual influence and conduct a powerful ministry for the Lord in her nation. She lived to see her cup full and running over as the blessing multiplied in her life and all would witness the Lord’s goodness. The long endurance had proved to be beneficial from every angle.

When there has been faith and fidelity to the Lord over quite a period of time to the Lord, it yields its blessed results. No one is the loser or comes out the poorer for having believed in and honoured the Lord. Job discovered he got twice as much at the end. You are yet to taste of His amazing grace in this connection as you hold true to the Lord at this time. The coming days and the future bring an unfolding of Him and His tremendous benefits to you as you look only to Him.
