Rev. E. Anderson

Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 130,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible. something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

“All things whatever the Father has are mine; therefore I said that he takes of mine, and will declare it to you” _ John 16:15

Today’s promise is at the very heart of the gospel message. All that belongs to the Father belongs to Jesus, and all that belongs to Jesus belongs to us because we are one with Him. The Amplified Bible says John 16:15 this way…Everything that the Father has is Mine. That is what I meant when I said that He [the Spirit] will take the things that are Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you. (AMP)

It is the Holy Spirit who now lives in us that reveals, declares, discloses and transmits all that the Father has given to Jesus…to us as well. The more that we meditate on this simple promise, the more it will transform our thought life and align us with our true destiny as beloved children of the living God. In His high priestly prayer of John 17, Jesus makes a profound statement when praying to His Heavenly Father… I in them, you in me (NIV).

Colossians 1:27 says… Christ in you, the hope of glory. May this revelation become very real to us. Because of the finished work of the cross, we are now one with Christ and co-heirs of His glorious inheritance. (Romans 8:15-17) May faith rise up in our hearts today to simply believe that this is the gospel truth and the reason why Jesus died for us.

SAFETY VALVES – Rev. Bob Stevenson

”Don’t go to war without wise guidance; there is safety in many counsellors. Wisdom is too much for a rebel. He’ll not be chosen as a counsellor”.

Read: Proverbs 24:7

Safety valves are designed to let off steam when the pressure rises above a certain level. So when it comes to taking offensive actions, be sure you are not acting out of responses coming from a hot head Let the cooler heads you have learned to trust be your safety valve lest you respond rashly or unadvisedly as result of being under pressure

It matters little whether your pressure has arrived as a result of having to face a foe who is threatening your rightful borders, just some mischievous individual seeking to encroach on your personal space. Before take action, take advice! Emotional turbulence is not the best environment for arriving at any conclusion, least of all a hasty one. Seek advice of wise counsel before you respond impetuously. Others around you will be able see things more objectively and will be able give you a more balanced perspective on the situation you are facing

It was the World War 11 leader, Sir Winston Churchill who conned the phrase “It is to jaw, jaw, than to war, war”. Whatever the conflict don’t be a hothead apply the valves of a multitude of counsellors The more the merrier!

A QUOTE TO NOTE – Abraham Lincoln

I remember my mother’s prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life.

A DETERMINED SOUL – Ruth 1: 7-18;

This is one of the finest recorded events in the Bible where we read of a truly determined state of mind and heart. This resolve was expressed by this choice individual, Ruth. She had come to a point in her life where she was at a crossroad and an important decision was to be made that would affect her whole future. Thankfully there was no condition of questioning and debating because what she affirmed reveals she had thought the issue through. Naomi had given her the freedom to go back to her own kindred and find her prospects at home in Moab.

She spoke with utter conviction and commitment to the point that Naomi did not have to say any more. Ruth was going all the way with her and was prepared to make a real go of it with her, with her people and Israel’s God – vv16-18. Although things from one angle did not look too inviting, she sensed in her being that this was the right and best course of action. There is a readiness to adventure with God and put her whole life and future under His direction. In her spirit she knew she was making the correct decision and move.

There are occasions when we have to show real determination in terms of choice decision that affects all that lies before us in God. It is easy to resort to a possible comfort zone rather than take the tough stance and action. The short-term factor appears to be the easiest way out and forward and the long-term poses problems and major difficulties but as they are accepted and followed through achieve the finest results. They enable you to make the right choices today.
