On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible. something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

“Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night.  He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper”  – Psalm 1: 1-3

Today’s promise contains the first three verses of the first chapter in the book of Psalms. What a way to start this wonderful book. These precious verses tell us that we will live a blessed life when we choose not to take counsel from the world system but to delight in the Word of the living God.

We are told that if we delight in the Lord and in His Word, we will be like a tree planted by rivers of water, always bearing fruit in the appropriate season, all the while living a prosperous life. I don’t know about you, but when I read Psalm 1:1-3, my heart cries out, I want to be that man! I want to live a life that is pleasing to my God and to delight, meditate and be a manifestation of His Word to every one around me.

Simply put, God loves us and He wants to bless us in every way. When we listen to Him, when we delight in what He delights in, we have His promise of being fruitful. My prayer today is that we would all say yes and amen to this promise and claim it as our very own. May each one of us love what our Father loves, and choose to live a life of delighting in His ways.

THE R|GHT$ OF THE CHILD – Rev. Bob Stevenson

”The rebel walks a thorny, treacherous road; the man who values his soul will stay away. Teach a child to choose the right path, and when he is old he will remain upon it”.

 Read: Proverbs 22: 5, 6

The United Nations have in recent years together a memorandum of understanding regarding the rights of children. This intentional legislation was designed to children from some of the unscrupulous and evil activities that are perpetrated on them who values his soul will equally evil adults.

We can all subscribe to any law which outlaws cruelty, be it physical, mental, emotional or sexual. Unfortunately there are in our world who are prepared to exploit the vulnerability of these young lives, and will always be the need to provide as protection as is possible, for children who  unable to defend themselves.

The irony of this well intentional legislation is that we now hear of children taking their to court on charges of abuse when in fact that so called ‘abuse’ is just normal family, parental, juvenile correction. Sadly authorities are far too quick to use the legal system to negate the necessary means of control required to bring up children with a respect for authority and the need to proper parental control. The best rights a child could ever be given is to be taught right path, with right values, right morals, right principles and a right attitude.

Happy are the children who are given these rights because they will be invaluable them in later life.

QUOTES TO NOTE – St. Augustine

The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.

Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe.

What does love look like? It has the hands to help others. It has the feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has eyes to see misery and want. It has the ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of men. That is what love looks like.

Love is the beauty of the soul.

A CALL TO CONFLICT – Judges 3: 12-30

God’s people were in dire circumstances again because of their evil ways and so he allowed them to become victims to Eglon, the king of Moab – 12. They never seemed to learn the lesson of the folly of abandoning their loyalty to the only true God and to follow their sinful desires and to worship false deities. The inevitable happened: they were now at the mercy of a power that placed enormous pressure on them and made life extremely difficult. Additional forces joined Moab in exerting duress.  At least they knew what to do in the trying times – “the children of Israel cried unto the Lord” – v15. Preparatory to God moving was the need for prayer and dependency upon the Lord to work on their behalf.

The Lord could have turned a deaf ear but did not do so but responded in the raising up of a man to be their deliverer with a unique plan. He showed him how to take the king out in an unusual and daring manner. Ehud was a left-handed man, and to an unsuspecting king in privacy, he slew him, giving him a message prior to his killing – vv20, 21.  God’s man knew that the Lord was with him to generate his people to take on their conquerors and so issued out a call to conflict after the sounding of a trumpet  – “Follow after me: for the Lord hath delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand.” -v27. The end result was the destroying of ten thousand lusty men of Moab and the land had rest for a longer period of 80 years.

Having prayed and sought the Lord’s help and guidance, you need to go forth and deal with the powers of darkness that would enslave. It is time to be free and to free our land from the spiritual forces of tyranny. Now is the summons, together, to wage war against all the strongholds of evil and to see the enemy ousted and completely overthrown.  The One who has been faithful in the past is still in the present to hear your voice in supplication and to reply in a positive fashion. You were born to be a conqueror and winner! Be one!
