Rev. E. Anderson

Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 130,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible. something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

“Many, Yahweh, my God, are the wonderful works which you have done, and your thoughts which are toward us. They can’t be declared back to you.If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered” – Psalm 40: 5

King David wrote Psalm 40 and in it he declares to God how wonderful His works are! David goes on to talk about the many good things that God has planned for us. Let’s read Psalm 40:5 from the New Living Translation… O Lord my God, you have performed many wonders for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal. If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them. (NLT)

The goodness of God has no end. It goes on forever and ever. Many times throughout the Bible, the phrase… The Lord is good and His mercy endures forever is declared. The strategy of the enemy is for us to question the goodness of God. His plan started in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve and it continues today. If he can get us to question God’s goodness, then he can get us to not trust our Heavenly Father.

David had it right when he declared that the good things that God has planned for us are too many to count. The truth is that God is for us… not against us. He loves us with all His heart and He only wants the absolute best for our lives.

This does not mean that we will be insulated from trials and hardships along the way, but even in the midst of our struggles, there is nothing in all creation that will ever separate us from His amazing love. (Romans 8:35-39)

“God loathges the gifts of evil men, especially if they are trying to bribe Him”.

Read: Proverbs 21: 27

How deceived must a person be to even imagine they could pay off the Almighty with their gifts, or more accurately – bribes. Just think about the ramifications of such self deception.

Number one on the list must be the total ignorance of the ‘All Knowingness’ of God. What kind of a God do such people imagine exists who have the notion that their motives can somehow be hidden from the all seeing eye of the God of Heaven?

Number two in the pecking order of importance has to be a complete blindness to the awesome power of the presence of God. To think that you could just waltz into his presence and have the audacity to imagine that you have the clout to persuade Him to your way of thinking!

Number three is probably the worst of this trinity deceits! The notion that what you are presenting as some sort of sacrifice, is nothing than a cheap shot at trying to get your own wishes fulfilled on the grounds that  you are trying bribe to is as crass as you are — what self deception this is!

Is it any wonder such a disposition or mentality is nothing but loathsome to The Lord. tragedy is that there are such folk about. Oh Lord, please help them and me to avoid self deception!

DAILY MEDITATIONS – A GODLY INFLUENCE – Judges 2: 6-14; 2 Timothy 1: 1-10

It is indeed a noteworthy thing to observe the blessing of a good and godly influence. Without question it is of enormous value. Israel had in Joshua and its leadership some choice people who exerted in a beautiful and bountiful manner a great measure of grace, wisdom, strength, faith and direction that served well in their relationship with God. Someone once said that ‘influence’ is one of the most powerful factors in life and that can be for good or evil. Salt, light and sugar are essential and strong influences that invade life to great advantage.

Timothy had the pleasure and benefit of a good mum and grandmother and then the choice delight of a spiritual father and mentor. These aided in shaping his future and ministry for God and the well being of others. Paul observed how he was willing to be taught and inspired and knew the prospects for him and Christendom was good under his wing. He was prepared to put a major input into him knowing that it would to great gain for him and the kingdom of God.

Make certain that you are being influenced by the right sort of quality people and things so that in turn you will also become a vital individual that will also pervade and persuade others in the right way. As you come under the input of the Holy Spirit, God’s Word and worthy Christian leadership, this will come to pass.  It is not only that you do a great job for the Lord but that you do it well and leave behind a pattern of faith and conduct that others can be influenced by. The cutting edge on your life and work can keep deeply into others and shape their lives and destiny.
