Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 130,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible. something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.


“A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand;
but it will not come near you”

Psalm 91 is a powerful declaration of the safety and shelter that you and I can live in knowing that we are living under the constant care of Almighty God. In today’s promise, the psalmist tells us that we can live in a state of safety in even the most stressful of circumstances.

Can you imagine living in such a place of security and protection that you could feel safe from harm though thousands were falling around you? I personally struggle at the thought of what it would feel like to be surrounded by such distress but yet feel completely protected. However, the psalmist tells us that those who live under the shadow of the Almighty can expect such safety.

While this illustration might be a little extreme for daily life as we know it, try to imagine how this might apply to your every day life situation. Maybe you work in the middle of a busy office filled with loads of anxiety and stress-filled people?

Though others are not coping around you, could you see yourself as being completely and absolutely insulated from the fear and anxiety that others are experiencing simply because you have made God your dwelling place? My prayer for each one of us today is that the answer is …YES!

Though the world around us may be coming unglued at the seams, may it not come close to us because we have the safety and security of being absolutely convinced that we are loved and protected by the One who created the heavens and the earth.

THE SECURITY COUNClL – Rev. Bob Stevenson

It is risky to make loans to strangers! Some men enjoy cheating, but the cake they buy with such ill-gotten gain will turn to gravel in their mouths. Don’! go ahead with your plans without the advice of others: don’t go to war until they agree”. Read: Proverbs 20: 16- 18 The United Nations was set up to avoid the possibility of a Third World War taking place. The Global conflict of World War Two was so horrendous in every respect that world leaders, in their wisdom, established a forum where international grievances could be resolved before the act of war was able to be declared.

As part of the mechanism for maintaining peace, any sanctions taken against dissenting nations could only be implemented if the Security Council were in agreement about the recommended action to be taken. In fact some of the nations who were the major signatories had the power to even veto any majority vote in an effort to avoid global conflict.

So it is with us when it comes to making some serious decisions in our lives. We need to get some good advice before embarking on a course of action that could have serious long term ramifications for the rest of our lives. Even if the advice flies in the face of all we believe to be the way to go, it is always a wise policy to talk things through so as to arrive at some form of consensus. After all, as Sir Winston Churchill put it, “it’s always better to jaw-jaw than war-war!”

ENTIRE TRUST – Proverbs 3: 5, 6; Daniel 3

These two verses are well loved by Christians and sound out some sensible advice. There is this great emphasis on placing one’s whole confidence in the Lord. The directive is – “Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend upon your own understanding . . .” This really means turning completely away from self to divine trust. Two things are certain: God is in perfect knowledge of everyone and everything and can guide unerringly and He never makes a mistake. It indicates that there should be the readiness to trust Him right at the outset and throughout all that is occurring in life. “In all your ways means all the vicissitudes and variables of every day living, the decision and the deeds, the vocation and the avocation that form our earthly existence.” (A.Linford)

The trusting will be manifest in another essential factor: there will be the seeking of His mind and will in relation to things so that there can be not only trust but obedience too. It must be obviously revealed to Him that there is a looking to Him alone both for direction and answers on all fronts, and this means, He is the first consideration at all times. There is a complete shift from self to God and He is aware of it. The Living Bible puts it like this: “In everything you do put God first.” Submission to Him and His Word is the token of entire trust and this is what the LORD seeks to nurture in those who would know His plans and blessing.

The inevitable outcome of this entire trust is to be seen in the life and work not only being controlled by God but also in attaining success in every way. We are told that ‘He will crown our efforts with success.’ The end result will be the best so let us adopt this divine counsel always.
