Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 130,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible. something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty” – Psalm 91:1

The New Living Translation says Psalm 91:1 this way… Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. (NLT) For anyone who struggles with fear, I would recommend reading Psalm 91 over and over again. It is a psalm that will bring reassurance to a troubled heart.

Today’s promise speaks of a resting place in the heart of God that every believer has access to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. It is called the secret place of the most High, the shadow of the Almighty. In this place, we are completely safe and secure. Nothing can harm us there! What a picture of God’s protection and His care!

Verse 4 goes on to say that our God will cover us with His feathers and provide shelter for us under His wings. When I think of this picture, I imagine a mother eagle hovering over her little eaglets, sheltering them in their nest from anything that would bring them harm or make them feel distressed.

“If you have good eyesight and hearing, thank God who gave them to you”. Read: Proverbs 20:12 So much information comes to us through our eyes and ears. To be deficient in these senses severely limits our capacity to learn and understand, let alone be able to appreciate all the myriad of activities that are going on around us.

Please don’t misunderstand me. lam not saying that you cannot live a happy and fulfilled life with these deficiencies — far from it! Biographies abound with the stories of such folk who have overcome these handicaps to achieve amazing accomplishments.

However, to be able to enjoy the wonder and beauty of the world around us is a privilege we so often take for granted. It is not only the physical act of seeing but all that comes with that visual ability. What about the emotions that get stirred at the sight of something really stunning or breathtaking? What about the capacity to file away in our memory the images which have come to us through eye gate? What about the emotional impact of some music we are able to appreciate through our hearing or the nuances of voice tones we get with the spoken word?

I agree with this proverb wholeheartedly – Let us never ever tire of thanking the Lord for these blessings!

Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. John F. Kennedy

Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live. Jim Rohn

Exercise is amazing, from the inside out. I feel so alive and have more energy. Vanessa Hudgens

To enjoy the glow of good health, you must exercise. Gene Tunney

DIVINE LONGEVITY – Proverbs 3: 1 &2; Deuteronomy 33.

It is a blessing to live a long life providing God is in it. What is advocated here by wisdom is if true and loving attention is paid to God’s Word in precept and promise, then the possibility of life is enormous. The important thing affirmed is that it should not be forgotten and put into action -v1. His government and guidance should be accepted in a loving manner and the will to honour what He has to say must be a primary desire and function of every day conduct. God has so much to say in a loving manner that will ensure the whole future of those who take His counsel to heart. One has to note that there is not simply the promise of long life, it states “and peace, shall they add to you.” v2. “Shalom” is a comprehensive term meaning ‘Wholeness’, that is, all the factors that make existence complete and worthwhile. Health, prosperity and a happy domestic lose their value when things threaten their destruction. Consequently the supreme blessing which God can bestow is peace, since it is the foundation upon which everything desirable rests.” ( Rabbi A. Cohen)

Moses lived a long life and had to face many traumatic experiences, but in the midst and at the end of all, he knew the immeasurable blessing of God’s peace. He not only had length of days, he enjoyed the sweet peace of God sustaining his being.

Make sure that you know God’s voice of wisdom through His Word today. Take time to take note of all that He is saying to you and do not allow anyone or anything to draw you aside from His inspired instruction. God has all your future in mind and view and wants to see you richly blessed, fulfilled and with a long life that glorifies Him. Length of days can be equated with both quality and quantity.
