Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 130,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible. something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him” – 1 John 1:27

In today’s promise, the Apostle John tells us that the anointing that comes from God abides in us and will teach us all the things that we need to know. The Greek word used for anointing in this passage is chrisma which is the root word for charisma or charismatic.

The Enhanced Strong’s Lexicon describes it as anything smeared on, unguent, ointment. This usually described the ceremony process when a priest was anointed as he was launched into public ministry. It is interesting to think that God has smeared us with His very presence so that we too can live our lives on earth as kings and priests (Revelation 1:6).

This is an amazing truth…We are the temple of His Holy Spirit and the abiding place of God Almighty Himself! God has promised to lead us and guide us in all truth if we will simply have an ear to hear what the Spirit is saying.

CHARACTER – Rev. Bob Stevenson

“The character of even a child can be known by the way he acts — whether what he does is pure and right” – Read: Proverbs 20:11

Character is what you are when nobody is looking. Character is the framework around which your temperament or personality is woven. lt’s like that inbuilt homing device in the pigeon, it will always enable you to stay on the right course, irrespective of the environment you find yourself in, and get you safely home

Your temperament is that combination of the sanguine, choleric, phlegmatic or melancholy emotional makeup. It’s this combination that gives you that special uniqueness which makes you into you. Character is that moral fibre that controls the way that personality is outworked. There is no doubt that personality has influence. Such influence can have incredible powers of persuasion, but it will be your character that will make such influential persuasive powers operate with integrity, honesty and uprightness. Somebody has well said, “Don’t let your charisma take you where your character can’t keep you”

Our personality and temperament comes more or less in the package that arrives in this world on the day of our birth. Character on the other hand, has to be developed, tried and tested throughout the journey of our lifetime.

In the end our actions will demonstrate whether charisma or character has the upper hand!

The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown. H. P. Lovecraft

If you know the enemy and know yourself you need not fear the results of a hundred battles. Sun Tzu

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. Franklin D. Roosevelt

One of the greatest discoveries a man makes, one of his great surprises, is to find he can do what he was afraid he couldn’t do. Henry Ford

A MAJOR SERVICE – Proverbs 2: 12-22; Matthew 5: 1-16

What tremendous service wisdom renders to those who are prepared to listen and to respond to her guidance! The kind of work she does is to truly help in dealing with life in an effective, positive and constructive manner. Here in v12 onwards – “To deliver you from the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things . .” A list of things is then mentioned that the wicked man is renowned for.

Aaron Linford compiles them into seven factors:
He treads a deadly path. 2. He has a poisonous tongue. 3. He has wayward feet. 4. He relishes in wallowing in wickedness. 5. He delights in the wicked way of others. 6. His ways are crooked. 7. His way is perverse. This is an apt picture and description of a person who has no time for God, his Word or His ways and becomes a terror and a plague to society, one who destroys himself and others, too, who join ranks with him. Instead of being and becoming a blessing to life and society, such is a curse and a blot on mankind.

Those who receive and adopt divine wisdom are wonderfully preserved from living and ending up like the wicked. God’s wisdom enables an individual to be become salt and light within oneself and beyond and also to have a sanctifying effect upon the family and community in which they live and serve. It is not only good to be delivered from the wicked man and his ways, it is infinitely greater to have a life and life style that is wholly righteous and good and that can contribute to everyone else in service and witness.
