Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 130,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible. something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

“Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed” – Proverbs 16: 3

Proverbs 16:3 in the Amplified Bible says this… Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed. (AMP) The NIV Bible says that God will establish your plans when you commit all that you do to the Lord.

To commit all that we do to the Lord does require a huge level of trust in Him. Trust that He is looking after our best interests and trust that we do not have to manage our life on our own. When we are convinced that our God and Father is indeed trustworthy, we will have the courage to entrust Him with our lives and rest in the outworking of His plan for us.

Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that God’s heart for us is to give us a hope and a future. He is a good God and Father who gives good gifts to His kids (James 1:17) My prayer today is that you and I would know this through and through and would be able to commit everything we do into His loving care.

As we are able to let go and let God, we will see our plans established in the way that our Heavenly Dad has intended. May we all experience the kind of success that God has planned for us that is measured from a Kingdom perspective

ALTERCATIONS – Rev. Bob Stevenson

“The king’s fury is like that of a roaring /ion; to rouse his anger is to risk your life. It is an honour for a man to stay out of a fight. Only fools insist on quarrelling”. Read: Proverbs 20:2-3 Thank God the times are past when the order of the day was for a man to defend his honour by having a fight. Whether it be by pistols or swords, to insist on settling some offence by killing somebody seems to me to be the height of folly.

Again I thank the Lord for the person who coined the saying, ‘He who lives to run away, lives to fight another day! Whilst I may not agree with the fighting aspect of the ditty, I do certainly concur with the sentiment of withdrawing from unwarranted altercations.

God’s view on things is so often dramatically opposed to man’s perspectives. Far from seeking to defend your honour, or perhaps wounded pride, by engaging in fisticuffs, God says the very opposite and says it’s an honour to stay out of a fight.

It might be a ruler’s fury or anger you need to avoid. It might be just some complete stranger who is spoiling for a fight! It might even be a mate who has fallen out of favour with you over some ridiculous issue. In any event, be it verbal or physical conflict, take God’s advice and stay out of it!

A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work – Colin Powell

All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them – Walt Disney

We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort – Jesse Owens

Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly – Langston Hughes

PARENTAL COUNSEL– Proverbs 1: 8 &9; Ephesians 6: 1-4.

The best thing that a child can possess is good parents; they are of priceless value. There is nothing better for an infant to be brought up in a secure home, well loved and well cared for. One of the main reasons for the breakdown of society can be pin-pointed to this major problem – the break up parents that head the family unit. Parents have the duty of making sure that they set a pattern of belief and behaviour that the children can appreciate and adopt as their life and life style. Their first responsibility is the inputting of their lives with all that is wholesome and good as Ephesians 6: underlines – “Bring them up in nurture and admonition of the Lord.”

“A strong moral training pre-empts evil and gives us victory over temptation even before it rears its poisonous head.” A. Linford

Children need to learn to receive the counsel from those who are the nearest and love them the dearest. There are no better people than mum and dad that have been truly trained in living themselves in giving the most noble instruction and guidance and it is a choice thing when kids ‘honour them’ in this area. Hannah had major input into Samuel as a boy and what a man he turned out to be! She not only gave birth to him, she saw to it that he was fully cared for and directed.

The promise assured to following this divine directive is twofold as expressed in the Living Bible: “it will stand you in good stead; it will gain you many honours.” The future is assured and safeguarded by listening to our forbears. Just remind yourself today of some of the sound things your parents sought to teach you.
