Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 130,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible. something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ” – Ephesians 1:3

I had the personal privilege of receiving my earthly father’s blessing before he died. It was a real honour for me to receive such a blessing from my own dad and I am keenly aware that many people have not shared the same experience with their own earthly fathers. Some may have even felt cheated out of their father’s blessing similar to how Esau felt when his brother Jacob cheated him out of the blessing. (You can read the story in Genesis 27).

But the truth is that our God and Father made a way through the cross of Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:13-14) for each and every one of us to experience every heavenly blessing there is! Today’s promise from Ephesians 1:3 says that you and I have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. Every blessing that there is in heaven is yours because of what Jesus did!

We do not have to feel cheated out of any earthly blessing because we have a Heavenly Dad who has more than made up for our lack of blessings on earth, by showering us with His own blessings straight from heaven. We are not orphans, trying to struggle through this life, but we are part of the greatest family ever because God is our Father and Jesus is our Elder Brother. Because of our rich inheritance, we have been blessed in Christ with every heavenly blessing there is! Hallelujah!

ALTERCATIONS – Rev. Bob Stevenson

“The king’s fury is like that of a roaring /ion; to rouse his anger is to risk your life. It is an honour for a man to stay out of a fight. Only fools insist on quarrelling” –  Read: Proverbs 20:2-3

Thank God the times are past when the order of the day was for a man to defend his honour by having a fight. Whether it be by pistols or swords, to insist on settling some offence by killing somebody seems to me to be the height of folly.

Again I thank the Lord for the person who coined the saying, ‘He who lives to run away, lives to fight another day! Whilst I may not agree with the fighting aspect of the ditty, I do certainly concur with the sentiment of withdrawing from unwarranted altercations.

#God’s view on things is so often dramatically opposed to man’s perspectives. Far from seeking to defend your honour, or perhaps wounded pride, by engaging in fisticuffs, God says the very opposite and says it’s an honour to stay out of a fight.

It might be a ruler’s fury or anger you need to avoid. It might be just some complete stranger who is spoiling for a fight! It might even be a mate who has fallen out of favour with you over some ridiculous issue. In any event, be it verbal or physical conflict, take God’s advice and stay out of it!

You can design and create, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream a reality – Walt Disney

Good design is making something intelligible and memorable. Great design is making something memorable and meaningful – Dieter Rams

Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works – Steve Jobs

Design is a constant challenge to balance comfort with luxe, the practical with the desirable. Donna Karan

MAKING THE BEST OF STARTS – Proverbs 1: 7; Genesis 39

The initial affirmation is in v7 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” This is where it truly begins and it is imperative that it becomes the basic precept, principle and procedure of life. The fear here is not abject dread but reverential awe as that displayed in a healthy relationship expressed between father and son. “On the spiritual plane it is reverence of God expressed in submission to his will, not from the threat of punishment or from the pressure of duty, but out of delight– Psalm 40: 8.” A. Linford

God’s awesome fear aids in keeping the life pure and true and delivers from going down the wrong track and making a moral and spiritual mess of life. It was in Joseph and secured him from falling to the temptation of an evil woman that sought to seduce him and rob him of his integrity. He did not fall foul of sin and was preserved by God’s fear ready for something truly honourable and profitable later on. The divine fear did not undo but made him for something significant.

Taking God into account and His righteous principles for living is the best safeguard to life. It makes for the production of a wholesome and noble character that inevitably is rewarded by none other than God Himself. See that this is created and cultivated in your life today and thus ensure your future.
