Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 130,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible. something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

“For, “All flesh is like grass, and all of man’s glory like the flower in the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls; but the Lord’s word endures forever.” This is the word of Good News which was preached to you” – 1 Peter 1; 24-25

Everything around us is temporal. The grass of the fields may look beautiful today but they will not remain that way for long. Our homes, our material goods, our jobs… are all temporal. It is amazing how much time and energy we spend on things of this earth that will not last even for 100 years let alone forever.

What will abide for all eternity is the Word that is spoken directly from our God and Father. The Greek word used in 1 Peter 1:24-25 is ‘rhema’ which is defined by the Strong’s Concordance as that which is or has been uttered by the living voice, thing spoken, word.

In Matthew 4:4 we read the following words… Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ (NIV) Jesus uses the same Greek word ‘rhema’ in this context as well.

GOD’S LENDING SOCIETY – Rev. Bob Stevenson

“When you help the poor you are lending to the Lord —and He pays wonderful dividends” – Read: Proverbs 19:17

As a young missionary couple who had all the familiar lifestyle and culture of our homeland, there were many things that had to be adapted to in our new oriental environment. One of these adjustments was how to handle beggars who came soliciting anything we were prepared to give them. I well remember some senior missionary counselling us on this issue and insisting that the best policy was not to give them anything at all. This advice cut right across the grain of my own inclinations and I decided that this was not going to be my policy even though I am sure the advice was well intentioned.

I devised my own strategy to the beggar problem by making the decision to prayerfully lay hands on every beggar that accosted me, believing for something supernatural to take place, and then give them a small donation.

My intention was to bless every one of them in the Name of Jesus as well as give them a coin or two. Now this may not work everywhere but it worked for me.

Over the succeeding years we have, as a family, been able to sow an abundance of finance into helping the poor of this world and I can heartily concur with this proverb — God pays good dividends!

For success, attitude is equally as important as ability – Walter Scott

Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude – Thomas Jefferson

People may hear your words, but they feel your attitude – John C. Maxwell

Ability is what you’re capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it – Lou Holtz

DAILY  MEDITATIONS – Joshua: 13-20

Caleb’s example certainly produced notable inspiration and action. He drove out the three sons of Anak that were formidable individuals from Hebron and took possession. He moved on to Kirjathsepher and issued out a challenge. He wanted a son-in-law that had got something about him and he laid down the gauntlet. Whoever would rise and take this place would have the pleasure of taking his daughter to wife and so a man by the name of Othniel responded and achieved the conquest. The family now became more famous in conquest!

His daughter, Achsah, replicated the same mind-set as Caleb. The opportunity presented itself of asking her dad for an additional blessed gift. “What do you want me to give you?” was his response – v18. She had the answer on her lips – “give me also springs of water” – v19. She not only wanted land but water to keep it refreshed and productive. There was the bequeathing of the upper and lowers springs. What a satisfied couple they must have been with this possession! They were of similar spirit and they inherited their attitude from a godly man full of divine inspiration.

It is important to pass on to your offspring a legacy of divine faith, experience and blessing besides things of a material nature. This exceeds all things of an earthly consideration. Today you can rise and drive out all alien forces and begin to enjoy the richness of the blessings the Lord seeks to give and bequeath to your offspring an inheritance of incalculable worth that will enrich their lives and future. There is a double blessing on line right now for you and yours as you press through.
