Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 130,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible. something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

“Your throne, God, is forever and ever. A sceptre of equity is the sceptre of your kingdom” –Psalm 45:6

While evidence of injustice is all around us in the world that we live in, justice reigns in the kingdom of our God. We have the assurance that His throne will last forever. This means that the injustice that we see and experience around us is only short term.

The Apostle Paul encourages us to fix our eyes on the unseen, not on that which is seen (2 Corinthians 4:18). He tells us that we need to keep focused on the eternal, not on the things around us that are temporary. In the midst of a fallen world, it is comforting to be reminded of the things that will truly last forever.

Our God and our Father is on the throne. He is a good God and His mercy will endure forever! May we continue to be reminded of what is eternal and be comforted in knowing that justice will reign in the kingdom of our God and Father…forever!

DUE DILIGENCE – Rev. Bob Stevenson

“A lazy man sleeps soundly – and he goes hungry. Keep the commandments and keep your life; despising them means death” – Read: Proverbs 19:15,16

Due diligence has become something of a hot potato in the public arena in fact is that the public are becoming more aware of the responsibilities that companies and local government have in protecting us from harm and danger.

We hear of ever increasing litigation in the courts of what sometimes seem to be frivolous claims of people tripping over an uneven surface, when in reality they should have been watching where they were going.

There are successful compensation claims because a cleaner has not shown due diligence by getting the yellow danger ‘Wet Surface’ sign on display soon enough! We are encouraged in scripture to give diligence to make our calling and election sure. God has done everything He can do on our behalf, now it is up to us to show due diligence.

We are told in today’s wisdom that a man who neglects to give due diligence to observe the commandments and live, may sleep soundly, but he will eventually reap the consequences of his actions and go hungry in more ways than one.
The Lord help us all not to be found wanting in this respect, especially in respect of the new commandment given by Jesus to love one another.

The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls – Pablo Picasso

Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others – Jonathan Swift

Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep – Scott Adams

The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance – Aristotle

One of the exciting characters of Old Testament times was Caleb. What is said of him is of an inspiring and encouraging character. He was a tremendous colleague of Joshua and imbibed the same spirit and attitude as his partner in his relationship with God and with life. When he went with the spies to look out the Promised Land with a view to possession, he was fully persuaded that God’s People could readily and easily take the land in spite of obstacles and oppositions. When ten spies were negative and full of doubt, he was full of faith. The Lord took knowledge of his whole disposition and acknowledged it – Numbers 14: 24 “But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land where into he went; and his seed shall possess it.”

Even when he was in the land at 85 he was still of the same mind and spirit. The passing of the years brought no amendment or deterioration to his vision and passion. He served as a fine example to all Israel, to his tribe and family as a go-getter in and for God. He blazed a memorable trail for others to follow he left a great record in his nation’s history that would serve as a stimulus to others.

Those who follow the Lord go places with God and accomplish great things for God. Herein is one of the secrets for successful living and enterprise. Keep the Lord in His place, and as you ever seek and serve Him, this will result in becoming a conqueror and possessor right to the end of one’s days. Let Him be first in your life and you will reap the consequent rewards. You have a life to live and a work to do that should serve as an inspiration to those around. Do not fail in your task.
