Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 130,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible. something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

“You who love Yahweh, hate evil .He preserves the souls of his saints. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked” – Psalm 97:10

God is our protector. God is our defender and He promises to shield us and deliver us from the hand of the wicked. The New Living Translation says Psalm 27:10 this way… You who love the Lord, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked. (NLT)

No matter how great the opposition you are facing, God is greater because good fathers protect their kids. It is that simple. The world can be a very scary place to live in apart from this revelation. But when we know that our Dad is the biggest, the strongest and the most loving Dad in the universe, it makes all the difference in the world!

May we all be convinced of this truth on a deeper level than we have ever known before. My prayer today is that the knowledge of our Father’s protecting love will bring a sense of peace and rest and security in our soul so that we will be confident that He is indeed our fortress and our shield.

“How much better is wisdom than gold, and understanding than silver: The path of the godly leads away from evil; he who follows that path is safe”. Read: Proverbs 16: 16-17

This morning I was listening to my early morning breakfast radio programme when a segment was introduced about what kind of a car you owned and what that said about your personality.

As this was a call back segment, various listeners called in to say what cars they possessed and what their significance was to them. I was particularly interested in the comments of the caller who started his car story by saying he had never spent more than $5000.00 on a car and found that he could get five or six years further service out of them with very little extra expense. However; he was quick to point out that he had wisely invested the money that he would have paid for a current model automobile, into a real estate portfolio which had now accrued to more than $1,000,000. Now that’s wisdom!!!

As I listened, the thought occurred to me that gold and silver can buy you nice cars but in the end leave you with no long term investment whatsoever. On the other hand, wisdom and the capacity to apply it, can give you a financially secure future, along with the ability to use part of that acquired wealth for the benefit of others.

As I reflected on this, I said to myself, “give me wisdom every time” and any proceeds that might follow to be able to bless others!

We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope – Martin Luther King, Jr.

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning. – Albert Einstein

Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness – Desmond Tutu

Three grand essentials to happiness in this life are something to do, something to love, and something to hope for – Joseph Addison

One of the great evils prevalent amongst this Old Covenant people of God was that of murmuring and complaining. When anything went wrong they were soon engaged in it. No sooner did an awkward and difficult situation arise and they were put to a test, this spirit and attitude became visibly manifest. Really, they should have taken themselves to task on the matter and sought the Lord to get rid of this blatant wickedness because it was doing so much harm and invoking so much divine judgment.

It has to be said that it is an ever present menace. In the infant churches, there were the apparent tokens of it. Paul writing to two churches refers to it. To the Corinthians he wrote: “Neither murmur you, as some of them murmured and were destroyed” – 1 Corinthians 10: 10. And to the fellowship at Philippi he records: “Do all things without murmurings and disputing” – Philippians 2: 14. The danger then was of the assembly being infected with an evil factor that could lead to its undoing.

Murmuring is a real crippler of spiritual life and must be avoided at all costs. One may think they have something to truly moan about because of the hardness of the way, by reason of what people have done, in the light of the fact that the spiritual leadership is not inspiring and directing as it should, etc., etc., Do not allow it to take root to produce its evil fruit but cultivate a spirit of worship, praise and thanksgiving. It is the perfect antidote. The enemy is defeated and the life is enriched and at it’s best when it is filled with Christ’s goodness.
