Rev. E. Anderson

Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 130,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible. something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

“I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my ordinances, and do the.” – Ezekiel 36: 26-27

This passage of Scripture is pointing to the day when people would no longer have to live a life separate from God. They would no longer have to try and figure out what the Lord desired from a distance because God promised to give them a new heart and put His own Spirit within them’

Of course this promise was fulfilled when Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, came into the world and made a way for each one of us to receive the free gift of salvation. Because of Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection, we no longer have to live with a cold heart of stone because He has given us a new heart. Because of the New Covenant, we no longer are separated from God because He has given us the most precious gift He could give the gift of himself.

God has given each one of us a new heart and He has put His own Spirit within us as a deposit to guarantee our inheritance. There is no greater gift that He could give. May we be aware of the abiding presence of God that lives in us today and have a heart of thanksgiving to God for giving us the precious gift of a new heart and His own Spirit!

SOUND SURROUNDS – Rev. Bob. Stevenson

“The Lord is far from the wicked but he hears the prayers of the righteous. Pleasant sights and good reports give happiness and health”. Read: Proverbs 15:29-30

No. I’m not talking about the latest audio sound system. I’m talking about taking a moment to consider what you are surrounded by. Are you surrounded by a sound or unsound environment? Sound in the sense of wholesome and edifying as opposed to negative and destructive.

Such environments can be created by the kind of people we mix with or more correctly stated the kind of people we allow into our space. There is also the powerful influences of an environment created by the things that we see and the things that we hear, in the form of the visual entertainment we see and the music we listen to.

I am blessed by having a bird and nature sanctuary right opposite my house. Apart from a few chilly mornings of the year you will find me sitting on my garden bench, drinking in my surroundings in all their beauty and pleasantness to my sight and hearing. You may not be party to such an outlook where you live, but whoever we are and wherever we live, we have to do all we can to create our own happy and healthy environment.

The Bible says “Whatever things are pure, honest and of good report, think on these things and get a sound surrounding that only brings good things your way.” (Phil 4:8)

A good design is making something intelligible and memorable. Great design is making something memorable and meaningful – Dieter Rams

You can design and create, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream a reality – Walt Disney

A shoe is not only a design, but it’s a part of your body language, the way you walk. The way you’re going to move is quite dictated by your shoes – Christian Louboutini

The urge for good design is the same as the urge to go on living – Harry Bertoia

MAKING THE BITTER SWEET – Exodus 15: 22- 27

It has to be realised that this people were on a journey and that there would be tough conditions to be negotiated. The route through the desert was not going to be easy and all kind of testing periods and experiences would fall across their pathway. The most rational thinker should have understood it was madness to have embarked on an adventure like this without knowing there would be some very demanding factors. The water issue would be a real one with such an enormous amount of people and cattle. But God had proved sufficient up to this point and should be trusted.

The first thing that hit them was disappointment. Having seen water in the distance they were truly depressed and disturbed when they found it to be undrinkable on arrival. It was really a test case as to how they would respond to a negative situation. Now was the time to look to the Lord to show His hand again. But regrettably, they failed to turn to Him and got to murmuring. They had soon lost their song. Here the Lord reveals how He is able to change the character of the water from bitter to sweet. A permanent promise was to be given: “I AM the Lord that healeth you” – v26.

There is a need to learn the lesson. Things will happen to you in your pilgrim journey when things do not turn out as expected. In point of fact, there will appear situations that could have the effect of turning you away from confidence in God. There will be the encountering pf bitter situations that call for calmness and confidence of a divine nature. The opportunity is for you to be positive and retain a sweetness that will transform everything. Without doubt, He will more than deal with any desperate circumstance. He will bring His healing power to you.
