Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 130,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible. something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life” – John 3: 16

John 3:16 is one of the most quoted, most loved Bible verses in the New Testament. This Scripture has been used by evangelists over the years to invite many people to come to Christ. The foundation of this much loved verse is and always will be, the love of the Father. For God (the Father) so loved the world…

It was the great love of our Heavenly Father that caused Him to give up His most treasured possession, the life of His Son, so that we too could share in Jesus’ eternal life. What a glorious promise! We were loved so much by God, that He gave up all that He loved in order to gain our love!

VIOLENCE – Rev. Bob Stevenson

“A quick tempered man starts fights; a cool tempered man tries to stop them. A lazy fellow has trouble all through life; the good mans path is easy”.  Read: Proverbs 15: 18- 1.9

The fact that our society is becoming more violent is beyond any contradiction .It seems that a growing proportion of mankind are all to ready to pick a fight even for the most trivial and minute reasons.

Now I am aware that there has always been the thug element amongst us. They usually begin life as the school bully and finish up in some correctional institution if they manage to stay alive long enough! But there does seem to be a growing trend, even amongst those who would otherwise be quite rational people, to resort to violence as in means of resolving conflict.

Of course it has been at last acknowledged, what most of us have known for years, that TV and it’s portrayal of violence in all it’s forms has a very powerful influence on the actions that people take when put under pressure. They see how Hollywood presents human behaviour and believe that’s the real thing, when in fact all it is, is acting. . Add to this an unrestrained temper that has been allowed to go unchecked, and you have an explosive cocktail for violence.

Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers” (Matt 5:9) so let’s do all we can to reverse the tendency to start fights, whatever the provocation might be and stay cool!

We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures that we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open -Jawaharlal Nehru

People are like stained – glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within – Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything beautiful, for beauty is God’s handwriting – Ralph Waldo Emerson

If you look closely at a tree you’ll notice it’s knots and dead branches, just like our bodies. What we learn is that beauty and imperfection go together wonderfully -Matthew Fox

GOD DOES GUIDE – Exodus 13

As soon as the Lord freed this people from bondage, He did not leave them to go it
alone and to make their own way to the Promised Land. He was to supernaturally lead them. We are told at the outset – “And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud, to lead them the way . . . .” – vv21,22. He wanted to be sure that they were properly guided and brought to the place that He had destined for them.

The thing that this people had to learn was that God was in charge and control of the journey and that each day He would see to each stage no matter what it entailed. He knew the route and what was involved and how to negotiate no matter what difficulties were to be encountered. It was to be a great learning exercise. They would have to learn the chief lesson of faith and be prepared for the Lord’s discipline. The sight and evidence of the cloud and pillar of fire should have bred a sense of peace and assurance knowing He was in the camp at all times.

The gift of the Holy Spirit has been given in order to assure you that the Lord is directing your life on a permanent basis. The third member of the Godhead is both inside and alongside to help in negotiating your pilgrim journey. Make sure today you are looking and listening to Him so you will make a success of the trip from earth to heaven. Be reminded of the truth and fact that He knows all and has the answers for everything you will be called to face in your present hour.
