Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 130,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible. something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

“Even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and without blemish before him in love; having predestined us for adoption as children through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire” – Eph 1:4, 5

It pleased the Father to choose us before the foundation of the world. In love, He saw the day when we would say yes to the free gift of His Son’s life for our life and become born into His amazing family. Before He even spoke the world into existence, He saw us!

And our adoption is not like any human adoption, for God has given us His own Spirit as a deposit to guarantee our inheritance. We are not servants in His house, but actual sons and daughters, joint heirs with our Elder Brother Jesus, seated in Christ in heavenly places.

What an amazing promise! Every other promise and precept rests on God’s eternal plan to make us part of His family. As Ephesians 1:4 says, we are holy and without blame before Him in love all because of the finished work of Jesus Christ. What Jesus did on our behalf has secured our place forever as God’s kids!

KNOW-IT ALLS – Rev. Bob Stevenson

”A mocker stays away from wise men because he hates to be scolded. A happy face means a glad heart; a sad face means a breaking heart. A wise man is hungry for truth, while the mocker feeds on trash”.

We‘ve all come across these obnoxious individuals. They are all far too clever for their boots, and as for trying to tell them anything that they don’t already know, you may as well be talking to a brick wall. Various translations of the Bible use a number of different words to describe these characters. They are called scoffers. or in our Living Bible, mockers. As if it wasn’t enough to blatantly display their ignorance, they go the extra mile in deriding or ridiculing any attempts at trying to help them become better informed.

At least a wise man will be eager to get to the truth even if it hurts him to admit it, but not the mocker or know-it-all. He is happy to keep feeding his over inflated ego with nothing but fads and fantasies. The sad thing is, that everyone else is fully aware of his ignorance whilst he goes blindly on making a bigger fool of himself.

Is it any wonder that such individuals become devoid of any profitable social contact, preferring rather to associate themselves with those poor souls who don’t have the capacity to know any different.

I am as bad as the worst, but, thank God, I am as good as the best – Walt Whitman

The best way to predict the future is to create it – Peter Drucker

In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing – Theodore Roosevelt

Whether it’s the best of times or the worst of times, it’s the only time we’ve got – Art Buchwald

The moment arrived when the Lord had to teach Pharaoh and His own people a lesson. God was able to place a division between the Egyptians and the Israelites and to let them both know that He was Sovereign Lord. It states in v23 “And I will put a division between my people and thy people: tomorrow shall this sign be.” In the immediate programme He would undoubtedly prove that He was judging one and protecting the other and both needed to get the message. It was not to be a one off incident – 9: 4-7, 26; 10: 23 etc. A programme was to commence that would not end until total deliverance had been accomplished.

The encouraging fact is that the Lord was able to safeguard the wellbeing of both persons and property of those that belonged to Him in sacred covenant. It became an evident revelation that He was in control and that He could provide complete security at all times from every opposing force of evil. All that the Israelites had to do was to believe and rest in the goodness of God knowing that He was outworking His plan for their release and ultimate blessedness. They were under the shadow of His wing and no evil could come near them.

It is essential to know that we are a people that are living under His new covenant and that He is committed to protecting us in the midst of life. Christ came as the Good, Chief and Great Shepherd in order to care, tend and protect each of His sheep that He has purchased to Himself. Live content and assured under His watchful eye and He will make evident to you that He can keep and sustain you through every invading evil foe and force. You are His and this makes a difference!
