Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 130,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible. something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

“God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them. God blessed them. God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth”- GEN 1:27, 28.

God created us in His own image. Think about that for a moment. We were created to reflect the image of God Himself! I wonder what the angels thought when they first saw Adam and Eve? What a glorious privilege to be made in the image of the One who knit us together in our mother’s womb!

May we never take this blessing for granted. May we always be in awe of the fact that we were created to look just like God. When Jesus came to the earth 2,000 years ago, He sealed the deal by making a way for us to be conformed into His image (Romans 8:29) inside and out so that He could be the firstborn of many brothers and sisters.

OMNISCIENCE – Rev. Bob Stevenson

“The depths of hell are open to Gods knowledge, how much more the hearts of all mankind”. Read: Proverbs 15: 11

As a young believer, the concept of a God who knows everything was difficult for me to get my head around. However, as the years have progressed I have come to realise that an omniscient God is not only mind blowing but incredibly comforting.

How pathetic it must be to have some kind of deity who has the limitations of humanity or even worse only animal instincts as in some religions of the world. No, the only Lord we should ever allow into our lives must be completely informed about everything if he is going to be able to help us with our problems and inadequacies. I want him to know how I really feel even when sometimes I am not capable of expressing myself adequately, or communicating my hidden aspirations and desires.

On top of all this I need to know that nothing escapes his all seeing eye, be it positive or negative, for only then am I able to be truly accountable. How reassuring it is to have this validation, that our God not only knows the past, but he also knows everything going on in the present and what is going to happen in the future — and all this at the same time! That is truly mind blowing!

Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter –
Mark Twain

Old minds are like old horses; you must exercise them if you wish to keep them in working order. – John Adams

Age is not important unless you’re a cheese. – Helen Hayes

Age does not protect you from love. But love, to some extent, protects you from age. –
Jeanne Moreau

THE BEGINNING OF MIRACLES – Exodus 7; John 2: 1-11

It was now time to start and wage war with the enemy that was keeping them captive. God chose the ways and means by which the deliverance should come. It was to be by the route of the miraculous. In this fresh encounter, Moses was informed beforehand as to what to expect from this heathen monarch – v9 “Shew me a miracle.” The rod was to be thrown down in his presence and it would take on a living form that of a serpent. It would be very challenging stuff!

The wicked king felt that his magicians and sorcerers were up to the same ability and he called them to perform this feat. It must have been quite a scene. Pharaoh would have been rather pleased with their act until he saw Aaron’s rod swallow up their rods. The obvious interpretation is that the Lord was manifesting His authority and the king didn’t like what he saw and resisted it. God’s servants became emboldened by this and began to move into the driving seat.

The first miracle that Christ enacted expressed the start of an onslaught against evil and there was much more to follow – John 2. The same could be said of the infant Christian Church. It can be rightly argued that there is a real need for the miraculous today so that we may make great advancement over the forces of evil. Pray this to be so in your life and for the local witness through your fellowship. The Lord would seek to initiate something of a divine order but requires you to cooperate with Him in creating the miraculous.
