It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible. something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

“For this God is our God forever and ever. He will be our guide even to death” – Psalm 48:14

No matter what we go through in life, God promises to be our God forever and ever. Even if everyone else abandons us on our journey, there is One who has promised to be with us to the very end of our life in this world as we know it. In Matthew 28:20, Jesus promises His disciples that He would be with them always, even to the end of the age.

Though at times we don’t feel His nearness, God is always close to us. May the reality of this promise go deep into our hearts today. We are not alone. We will never be alone. If we have accepted the free gift of Jesus Christ into our heart, then we are the dwelling place of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit… forever and ever. He will be our guide to the very end!

PATRIOTISM – Rev. Bob. Stevenson

“Godliness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people. A king rejoices in servants who know what they are doing, he is angry with those who cause trouble. Read: Proverbs 14:34-35 For any nation to survive their does have to be a certain sense of national pride in its citizens. Great civilizations have come and gone, not just because of the military might of some aggressor but more often from an inward decay of moral and ethical abandon. ln a democratic society a nation only gets the leaders and lawmakers it deserves, as its citizens have opportunity to vote in, or vote out, those that the majority have selected to rule them.

Good or bad, it follows, that those they select to rule them is a reflection of who they themselves are.

It seems that beneath the bread and butter issues that politicians canvass there are other agendas that seriously impact on a society’s well being in terms of morality and righteousness. Laws get passed which erode principles of godliness with the consequential effects that such laws promulgate.
Both history and the Bible teach us that righteousness exalts a nation, but sin, either legalized or allowed, will bring it down in the sight of God. Jesus said, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesars and to God the things that are Gods.” (Matthew 22:21)

Our patriotism and pride of nation can only come as we do all we can to see righteousness prevail. Only then can we call ourselves true patriots

Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase – Martin Luther King, Jr.

In my deepest, darkest moments, what really got me through was a prayer. Sometimes my prayer was ‘Help me.’ Sometimes a prayer was ‘Thank you.’ What I’ve discovered is that intimate connection and communication with my creator will always get me through because I know my support, my help, is just a prayer away – Iyanla Vanzant

Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe – Saint Augustine

Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies – Mother Teresa

GOD WILLS TO USE YOU – Exodus 3: 10 -12; Romans 12

Moses never thought at this particular point in his life that the Lord had any interest in Him whatsoever, let alone being used of him at this late stage in his existence. The past forty years had been rather drab and dull looking after a flock of sheep away from all society. Here he is being confronted with the supreme task of bringing God’s people out of Egypt and into a land of untold promise. It seemed and looked ridiculous but it wasn’t. God had turned up to get hold of His man that would become an instrument in his hands to do a major work.

His real usefulness was about to begin at a time when he must have thought his life and work was all over. He was to lift him out of non-entity and give His authority and backing to stand before Pharaoh and perform the role of deliverer of God’s people. Assurance was give of the Lord’s presence – v12 “Certainly I will be with you.” This was to make the difference and bring about the deliverance.

We are to be encouraged by this event and incident. God has been planning and working for the moment when He can visit you in order to inform that He has a job none but you can do. At this hour He is summoning you to rise to join with Him in a partnership so that a great work can be performed through you. The good thing is, He will be with you as He was with Moses.
