Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 130,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible. something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

“He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber” – Psalm 121:3

God does not sleep and He does not slumber. He watches over us day and night so that we will not stumble and fall. The image that comes to mind as I write today’s devotional is that of a doting father watching over his little toddler as the child is learning to take its first steps. Wherever the little one goes, the father is following very close behind to make sure that no accidents happen.

The NLT translation of Psalm 121:3 says it this way… He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. (NLT) No matter where you go, no matter what time of the day or night, God is watching over you, caring for you to make sure that you don’t stumble.

What a loving Father we have! Just as no earthly father would want to see his toddler bump his/her head on a coffee table or fall down a step, so our Heavenly Father is watching over us to make sure that we don’t stumble and fall. May this simple picture of God’s protecting love bring encouragement to our hearts today.

HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL  – Rev. Bob Stevenson

“Hope deferred makes the heart sick; but when dreams come true at last, there is life and joy”.

Read: Proverbs: 13:12-14

Have you ever been really disappointed almost to the point of despair? Or have you ever set your heart on something so much that when it didn’t materialise, you felt absolutely devastated and positively sick inside?

This depth of emotion is most commonly felt in matters of the heart, especially in relation to the opposite sex.

Romantic expectations for your girl friend or boy friend can be dashed to pieces when all the excitement of such a relationship is terminated, leaving one party or the other hoping that the fire of such love could be rekindled somehow.

I well remember a young man many years ago who was given the flick by his girlfriend. He was so affected emotionally that he became physically ill. Fortunately, most of the time we are able to get over such disappointments in life and I am glad to say, he did.

Whether it is unrequited love or a disappointment of more serious proportions, I look back now and realise that life goes on and my many other dreams and expectations have been wonderfully fulfilled. In Rom 8:28 we read that, ‘All things work together for good to those who love God who are the called according to this purpose.’ – And so they will be for you, as well as bringing the life and joy promised in our proverb for today!

Joyce Meyer

You cannot have a positive life and a negative mind.

Patience is not simply the ability to wait – it’s how we behave while we’re waiting.

I believe that a trusting attitude and a patient attitude go hand in hand. You see, when you let go and learn to trust God, it releases joy in your life. And when you trust God, you’re able to be more patient. Patience is not just about waiting for something… it’s about how you wait, or your attitude while waiting.

God has equipped you to handle difficult things. In fact, He has already planted the seeds of discipline and self-control inside you. You just have to water those seeds with His Word to make them grow!

DIVINE DREAMS – Genesis 37: 1-11

This account of Joseph indicates that God can and does reveal His purpose to use people on a meaningful scale in life. He is able to communicate with those who desire Him and want their lives to be used by Him to the wellbeing of others. This young boy evidently had his mind and heart set in the right direction. He had his spiritual and moral values firmly implanted and established in him very early. His father got a tremendous amount of pleasure as he saw the progress of his life and somehow could share with him in relation to the things of God and his own spiritual journey to that point.

Not only was his father able to converse with him, God gave him dreams that would affect his whole future. Joseph would arrive at a place where he would exercise authority and rule on a large scale and he believed the revelation given to him. Because of his obvious immaturity at the time, he spilled it out to the others and they became resentful and hateful.

The important thing to note is that God does seek to speak into our lives and make known His great intentions for us as we go with Him. This is still true today. You can have a dream from God that will earmark your destiny in this life and as you retain a loyalty to Him, all will come to pass. Do not squander this day or the days ahead but make them count for God and life!
