Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 130,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible. something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

“For this cause, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named” – Eph 3:14,15

All fatherhood is derived from the one and only true Father God. The Amplified Bible says Ephesians 3:15 this way… For Whom every family in heaven and on earth is named [that Father from Whom all fatherhood takes its title and derives its name]. (AMP)

When God looks at you and me, He doesn’t see nameless, faceless workers, He sees family. He is a loving Father who lovingly relates to His children. Not workers, not servants and not slaves… but sons and daughters.

The more that we begin to see that the Christian life is all about family, the more we will be drawn into His fathering heart. It is the most wonderful revelation when we know that our value to Him is not based on what we do but simply who we are.

LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP – Rev. Bob Stevenson

“The good man asks advice from friends; the wicked plunge ahead – and fall”.

Read: Proverbs 12:26

Most of us just live our lives within the security of a balanced temperament that enables us to get on with the myriad of choices and decisions, which are part and parcel of ordinary every- day living.
Then out of the blue, there comes along an issue requiring some good advice. This advice is normally found amongst our network of family, friends and associates who we know have our wellbeing at heart. In this interaction of conversation and counsel we eventually arrive at an informed position which prevents us from making a bad choice or even worse a serious mistake.

When we get good advice it is like a safety net for our ignorance or lack of understanding, which if not heeded, can land us in circumstances it could have been better to avoid.

The real key to all this good advice being of benefit to us, is the initial willingness to ask? Asking presupposes a disposition of humility and teach-ability, which in itself can help us to avoid some of those pitfalls which can do us real harm. It also demonstrates a caution which unfortunately those

Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.

Change your thoughts and you change your world.

Watch your manner of speech if you wish to develop a peaceful state of mind. Start each day by affirming peaceful, contented and happy attitudes and your days will tend to be pleasant and successful.

The trouble with most of us is that we would rather be ruined by praise than saved by criticism.

KEPT WAITING – Genesis 30: 1-24

It must have been quite a torrid time of torment for Rachel, the wife of Jacob. The situation must have become very galling to her over a number of years as she notes her sister having sons and she is in a state of barrenness. What pent up feeling and anguish is to be sense in the cry: “Give me children, or else I die!” – v1. The period was long, dark and bitter as she is kept in this state of waiting. When you have to wait, it is a big draw and demand on patience and no one is a big possessor of it. There came the moment when something wonderful happened as v22 reveals: “And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.” She was to become pregnant in answer to prayer. The child to be born was to be one of significance and worth. It was not only to be a time of the taking away of her reproach but there was to be the birth of a child of destiny. Joseph was to become a person who would produce a choice character and perform a glorious ministry and work for God. It has to be said: He was worth waiting for!

It may be that you are somewhat disappointed and frustrated at the present developments and situation you find yourself in. As you view others and see their marked progress and your own seemingly static position you are in anguish and distress. You have prayed out of a painful lot. Take note: the Lord has observed and taken on board your request and in His loving providence will bring a rich and satisfying answer. It will overwhelm you when it occurs!
