Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 130,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible. something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

“let’s draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and having our body washed with pure water” – Herb 10:22

An evil conscience is a guilty conscience. When we feel guilty, we feel shame. When we feel shame, we want to run and hide from God just like Adam and Eve did. Today’s promise is an invitation from our Heavenly Father to come close to Him and He will cleanse us from the guilt that we struggle with and wash our bodies with pure water.

It takes real faith to believe that we are forgiven for all our sins. In the Christian life we sometimes act as if Jesus forgave our sin when we first became Christians but then it was our responsibility to keep from sinning from that point on. When we fall, we feel guilty and ashamed, and that sense of guilt keeps us from coming into the presence of God.

The truth is that it is God’s heart to cleanse us from a guilty conscience so that we could truly draw near to Him without shame or condemnation. The shed blood of Jesus is the once and for all sacrifice for our past, present and future sins. There is nothing that we can do to add to what Jesus has already done. When He cried “It is finished!” on the cross, He meant it.

HOPE ETERNAL –  Rev. Bob Stevenson

”When an evil man dies, his hopes all perish, for they are based on his earthly life”. Read: Proverbs 11 :7 It was said of Abraham in Rom 4:19 “Hope for the best, prepare for the worst and take what is coming” was another of my mother’s sayings. There is no denying that the human spirit has incredible resilience and endurance even in the face of the most hopeless odds. There are millions of dear folk the world over, who have to daily cope with what seem to us to be insurmountable obstacles, just to survive to the next day. Yet in spite of such incredible difficulties, hope shines eternal in many of their hearts.

Its right here where the secret lies, if you only have a hope in this life of mere earthly material things, then that hope will surely perish with you. But if your hope is of an eternal nature then that same hope, backed up with faith in a living Jesus, will bring its own reward not only here in this life but also in the life to come. that although he was without hope, that even against hope he believed in hope, that what had been promised would become a reality, and it did. – Hallelujah!
Be sure your hope is eternal because if in this life only we have hope, we are of all man most miserable.

Have patience. All things are difficult before they become easy – Saadi

Patience is not simply the ability to wait – it’s how we behave while we’re waiting –
Joyce Meyer

Never cut a tree down in the wintertime. Never make a negative decision in the low time. Never make your most important decisions when you are in your worst moods. Wait. Be patient. The storm will pass. The spring will come – Robert H. Schuller

It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience – Julius Caesar

A GREAT REWARD – Genesis 15: 1-21; 1 Samuel 2:, 20,21

It is remarkable to note that Abram had recently turned down the opportunity to enrich himself even though he could have felt entitled to do so. This had been taken account of by the Lord and was to be responded to by Him. The best one to reward is the Lord and here He gives a tremendous promise: “I am your EXCEEDING REWARD.” It would seem to suggest that the Lord had something special in the pipeline for him that would satisfy him completely.

As far as Abram was concerned, to have the Lord was reward enough. There can be no great blessing or pleasure than knowing that you have the Lord in your life and in the midst of your affairs. To have Him is the greatest compensation of life. It is one thing to have a blessing, but is infinitely superior to have the BLESSER. To have Him close at hand, ministering both into your life and all your needs and situations is fulfilment indeed. He wants you to know this day and hour that He is the bounty and bonus of your being and existence.

The concern of Abram at this time was for a son and heir – vv2, 3. He need not be worried for the Lord was to assure him that all this was in hand and more beside – vv4-21 and it was duly ratified by covenant. Hannah discovered that though she had to wait in God’s timing, she would be greatly compensated. So the Lord has much in store for you as you believe and rest in His Word and goodness.
