Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 130,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of a Prophetic Word for Today, A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and something to Focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

You have been called to live in the fullness and freshness of God each day so that your life and ministry will blossom and bloom with that He inspires and imparts. Learn to spend time with Him on a regular basis so that He has the opportunity of communicating those gifts and graces that will enrich you and cause you to be a tremendous source of blessing to others. He possesses all you need so that you do not have to run all around to be enhanced in any way. He not only grants all that is essential but is able to give you the faith and humility to carry through all that is vital for today. At the conclusion of the day you will be able to trace and sense that all you have been and done has been worthwhile and profitable.

‘For in him we live, and move, and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also his offspring’ – Acts 17:28

Today’s promise comes from a passage in the Bible where the Apostle Paul is debating with Greek philosophers on Mars Hill about the existence of the one and only true God. In the midst of his conversation, Paul tells them that God is so involved in their lives that they actually live and move and have their being in Him.

Colossians 1:15-17 says this about Jesus…
15 who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by him all things were created, in the heavens and on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things are held together. Every neutron and electron and every strand of DNA is held together by the very life of the living God. Whether we acknowledge this truth or not, it does not change the unshakeable fact that God is the very fabric in which the universe is held together. There is no denying it.

I have always found it interesting that when Paul was speaking to the pagan Greeks, he quoted one of their own poets that said… ‘we are all His offspring’. The truth is that God created every person who ever lived because He is the very author of life itself.

We are all God’s offspring through creation and it is His desire that every person on the planet would become His child through redemption by the free gift of His Son, Jesus Christ.

HOUSEMATES – Rev. Bob. Stevenson

“For the value of wisdom is far above rubies; nothing can be compared with it. Wisdom and good judgement live together, for wisdom knows where to discover know/edge and understanding. If anyone respects and fears God, he will hate evil. For wisdom hates pride, arrogance, corruption and deceit of every kind”.

Read: Proverbs 8: 1 1-13

As I read today’s proverbs I thought it was really cute how the Living Bible described wisdom and good judgement as housemates who live together. I well remember the time when two of our sons decided to move in with a couple of mates and rent a house together. They only lasted a few months in their experiment and we soon found that our offspring had flown back into the family nest. I can’t remember the actual reason they gave for returning so soon but I suspect that there was a measure of incompatibility that surfaced during their time together as house mates.

Coming from different backgrounds of family life gave them all varying expectations of what they would consider to be an acceptable home environment, but whatever the reason, they decided they were better not living together. When it comes to the wisdom of God and good understanding there is never any incompatibility between them. They co-exist ideally with each other! You see, wisdom knows where to find knowledge, understanding and good judgement and any such compatible housemates will always come to the person prepared to have a healthy respect for the Almighty.

The guaranteed outcome of such respect will also ensure a complete absence of any sense of arrogance or personal pride as well as any corrupting deceitfulness.

You don’t choose your family. They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them -Desmond Tutu
The love of family and the admiration of friends is much more important than wealth and privilege – Charles Kuralt

Family means no one gets left behind or forgotten. – David Ogden Stiers

I’m thankful to God for having a family that’s been there for me. He’s been there from the time I was a child to even now with my family helping with my little boy. It’s worth more than words could ever describe. That’s one of the ways I’ve been able to stay grounded is thanks to family and God. – Ashton Shepherd
