Rev. E. Anderson

Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 130,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of a Prophetic Word for Today, A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and something to Focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

It is the choice purpose of your LORD to gently lead and guide you throughout each day so that He will bring about that which is good, right and best for you. For this to occur, you must be readily submissive to Him and be genuinely desiring to be directed by Him. He has no difficulty in sifting out those who are fakes and frauds. Saying it with words is not enough. Your whole inward spiritual frame must be open to Him and ready to respond to His revelations. Know this, all His ways are pleasantness and all His paths are peace. There is no imposition on His part whatsoever, only beneficial instructions that, if heeded to, produce untold blessing and progress. He knows the end from the beginning in all things and is the best One to counsel and superintend your every day. So, today, simply submit to Him and His guidance and ‘all things will work together for your good”.

“ Yet, looking to the promise of God, he didn’t waver through unbelief, but grew strong through faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what he had promised, he was also able to perform”- Rom 4: 20, 21
This is an amazing picture of one man’s simple faith in the faithfulness of his God. Just prior to these verses in Romans 4, Paul is talking about Abraham and how he hoped against hope in the face of impossible circumstances.

God had promised Abraham a son to be born by his 90 year old wife, Sarah. Though Abraham himself was nearing 100 years old, and his aged body was hardly in the right condition to have children, he believed what God had promised.

The NIV Bible says verses 20-21 this way… 20Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, 21being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. (NIV)

Abraham didn’t waver in his faith but was fully persuaded that God had the power to do all that He promised. Always remember that when God makes a promise to us, He has the power to perform what He has promised, no matter how impossible the circumstances!

Who would have thought that this simple act of faith by an old man and an old woman so many thousand of years ago would have such ripple effects throughout history! Because of Abraham’s faith that God was who He said He was, we are reaping the benefits today.

What has God promised you? You never know what ripple effects there might be because of your simple obedience to believe that God has power to do all that He has promised! Don’t waver through unbelief today, but believe with all your heart in the faithfulness and power of the One who made the promise.

Rev Bob Stevenson

“For there are six things that the Lord hates — no seven: haughtiness, lying, murdering, plotting evil, eagerness to do wrong, a false witness, sowing discord among brothers”.

Read: Proverbs: 6:16-19
There are a number of occasions in the Book of Proverbs when this unique way of presenting truth is used. It’s as if the writer is saying. Here are six things that I have no hesitation about listing! But on second thoughts there are seven.

The first six he mentions here are pretty nasty attitudes or dispositions and I guess we would all acknowledge that the Lord is absolutely justified in hating every one of them, but what about the seventh? Sowing discord amongst brothers! Can sowing discord be as hateful to God as murder? Without doubt, the reason being is that to create division and dissention usually involves some kind of character assassination in one form or another.

To go out of your way to destroy what would otherwise be a harmonious relationship, you have to be a certain type of person, the kind that is deceitful, malevolent and devious.

is it any wonder that the New Testament tells us to mark those who cause division and have nothing to do with their unfruitful works of darkness.

How’s that for an afterthought?

John Adams

Old minds are like old horses; you must exercise them if you wish to keep them in working order

Let us tenderly and kindly cherish, therefore, the means of knowledge. Let us dare to read, think, speak, and write

Posterity! You will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom! I hope you will make a good use of it

Because power corrupts, society’s demands for moral authority and character increase as the importance of the position increases.
