Rev. E. Anderson

Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 128,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of a Prophetic Word for Today, A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and something to Focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

Even today, things can happen to you of a disappointing nature that in turn moves on to discouragement, and such can mean losing heart and the will to persist and master the issue. Instead of falling foul of this evil, attack it immediately and be determined by the help and inspiration of the LORD to meet it head on and master it and change it to advantage. Do not wallow in a state of despair and misery but rise with a new mind and attitude and see the whole thing transformed. As you look to Him, He will fill you afresh with vision, passion and the capacity to make your disappointments into His appointments of personal attainment to something bigger than you can imagine. So do not wile your time simply looking at what has flattened your being but believe something bigger is to be born that will make you a bigger

“The eternal God is your dwelling place. Underneath are the everlasting arms. He thrust out the enemy from before you, and said, ‘Destroy!’” – Deut 33: 27

God is our eternal refuge. Just think of that for a moment. There will never be a time in all eternity where you will ever be unprotected. You can feel safe and secure knowing that your God and Father will carry you in His everlasting arms forever!

When our children were little, I absolutely loved holding them in my arms. It felt so good and I think my children enjoyed the safety and security of that feeling too. If as fathers, we were meant to be a foreshadow of the true Father, then I would imagine that God would feel the same sense of satisfaction and contentment when He is holding us in His big strong arms.

In Psalm 27:1, David declares … The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? (NIV). The reason David wasn’t afraid of his enemies was because he was completely aware that He was being protected by the everlasting arms of God Himself. May we all be encouraged today of this tangible reality. We will find safety in the everlasting arms of our Papa!

“The curse of God is on the wicked, but his blessing is on the upright. The Lord mocks at mockers, but helps the humble. The wise are promoted to honour, but fools are promoted to shame!

Read: Proverbs 3:33-35 I don‘t like to think about, or even contemplate the business of cursing. However we have to face it, there is, dreadful though it may be, a condition of life that comes from being cursed or under a curse. Even with His incredible capacity for long suffering and patience, there is an evil, which leaves God almighty no alternative but to pronounce a curse.

I recently watched a documentary film series covering the German-Russian conflict depicting he symbolic capture of Stalingrad by the German army. Hving now had half a century to let history provide her own commentary on the leaders of these two nations, l cannot help but come to the conclusion that both the German and Russian people have had to cope with the debilitating curses of death and starvation imposed on them if by their leaders to some degree or other.

On the one hand there were the atrocities perpetrated by the German leader. On the other hand, in the case of the Russian leader, the total rejection and repression of any expression of God.
Whatever your perspective may be on this period of history, give me a blessing that promotes the wisdom of God as opposed to the shame and ignominy of evil and godlessness.

Even those who have renounced Christ’s way and attack it, in their inmost being still follow Christ’s ideals, for hitherto neither their subtlety nor the ardor of their hearts has been able to create a higher ideal of man and of virtue than the ideal given by Christ of old. When it has been attempted, the result has been only grotesque. — Feodor Dostoevski

The ideals that have always shone before me and filled me with the joy of living are goodness, beauty, and truth. – Einstein

Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you. – Emerson

We aspire by setting up ideals and striving after them. – Fosdick
