welcome to this christian website

Sept 10th – 2015
Rev. E. Anderson

Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 129,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of a Prophetic Word for Today, A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and something to Focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

The exhortation that was given to the Christians in Hebrews 6: 1 is to be yours today – “Let us go on to perfection”, that is “to full maturity”. Fully note that you are in a divine process and procedure of life and work that seeks your total development, until you come to the stature of a true and full person in and by Christ Jesus. As long as you are on planet earth the LORD will be at work in and on you to bring about His good pleasure and your full growth. Neither He nor you want to be disappointed at the end that such did not materialise. Know He is with you today to inspire you with the right motivation and principles that will see you properly structured and fulfilling heaven’s expectations. Ever know, He has eternity in mind and thus assist in helping you achieve your destiny on earth within the Church and world.

“For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness. I will remember their sins and lawless deeds no more”- Hebrews 8: 12

God is Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient. He is all powerful, He is everywhere and He is all knowing. Yet the God who created the heavens and the earth with just the sound of His voice has decided to have a poor memory when it comes to our sin. In today’s promise, God says that He will forgive all of our sins and then forget each of one of them.

The One who is limitless in every way, has chosen to intentionally forget every mistake, every failure, every time we have hurt Him because of the blood of Jesus Christ. Sometimes I wonder if I actually live each day in the knowledge that God has forgiven me so completely that He can’t even remember one time when I have sinned.

As Paul the Apostle said, “Do we keep on sinning that grace abound? God forbid!” However, if we allow the full weight of this promise to seep deep into our hearts, we won’t be continually re-counting our sin over and over in our own minds (and perhaps in our prayers). Because of our Father’s great mercy, He chooses to forgive and then forget. Let us embrace the words of Paul in Philippians 3:12-14 today and choose to forget the things that God forgets…

Rev. Bob Stevenson

“Young man, do not resent it when God chastens and corrects you, for his punishment is proof of his love. Just as a father punishes a son he delights in to make him better, so the Lord corrects you”’

Read – Proverbs 3: 1 1- 12 Do you remember those words our parents said to us before they gave us a good spanking? “This is going to hurt me more then it will hurt you”. Of course we didn’t believe it for one moment. It was only when we had to correct our own children that we realised the truth of our parent’s words.

This is the big difference between punitive correction and loving correction. They both hurt at the time, but the motivation for the chastisement brings a far different result.

It has been observed that there were occasions where our fathers punished us out of less than worthy motives (Hebrews 12: 9-10), but not so with God. With him everything has a purpose and every motivation is pure.

This is why Solomon says,” Don’t resent God’s correction”.

If you haven’t become aware of them yet, then get ready for the dealings of God.

Does God correct to the point that l could become resentful of his dealings? I don’t think sol It could well be that God is trying to get your attention! And why? Because he loves you enough to help you become the person He wants you to be, and in the process be the better for it.
