Rev. E. Anderson

Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 128,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of a Prophetic Word for Today, A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Just a Thought by Aaron Linford. Choice Quotations and something to Focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

To make life bright and blessed from a natural standpoint you have to allow the sun to rise and shine within your being. Your LORD is the SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS and He wills to break out within you and to cause His brightness and glory to illuminate every part of you. He is called the Light of Life and if you would know and possess a life of light, then He must enter and fulfil His dynamic role. There is no need to exist in the darkness of depression and gloom when He is in His place. Today He would burn and shine within you causing you to be fired and  lit with a unique splendour. You will know the warmth of His love, the glow and glory of His presence, the light of His truth and revelation, the delight of being able to freely move and do things. So ask Him to really shine within you and others will see and take note of the outstanding difference He makes.

“and in the wilderness, where you have seen how that Yahweh your God bore you, as a man does bear his son, in all the way that you went, until you came to this place”- Deut 1: 31

The NIV Bible says this verse this way… “There you saw how the LORD your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place.” (NIV) This is one of those very clear pictures in the Old Testament of God’s Fatherheart for the nation of Israel. I find it interesting that from God’s perspective, He saw Himself as actually carrying each Israelite just like an earthly father would carry his son.

I wonder what that would have looked like in the eyes of God? Would God have been cradling Israel in His big strong arms? Would He have been lifting Israel up over His head so that the nation could sit on top of His shoulders? Perhaps there would be many ways for God to carry Israel, depending on their situation. When they were grieving… When they were taking new territory… When they were afraid… God was always there to hold them and carry them through each season, whether they were even aware that He was holding them or not.

The truth is that no matter how difficult life gets, it is God who is carrying us through every adversity. We might not be aware of how close He is to us, but that does not change the reality that He is holding us very close all the days of our lives. May each one of us feel the warmth of His embrace today.

Rev. Bob Stevenson

“My son, never forget these things I’ve taught you… Never tire of loyalty and kindness. Hold these virtues tightly; . . . if you want favour with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgment and common sense . . . In everything you do, put God first, and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success”.

Read: Proverbs 3: 5-6
Chronic forgetfulness makes life really difficult for those afflicted with this malady. Not being able to remember where you’ve put things can make a simple task into a major undertaking. When you have forgotten where things are, the time and effort you spend in searching for stuff could be spent on doing the job itself.

There are some things that Solomon says we should never forget if we want to enjoy a long and satisfying life. Make a list of the following instructions.

1. Never forget to be loyal and kind. The people you meet on your way up the ladder may be the same people you meet on your way back down.

2. Never short-change yourself when it comes to the value of favour with God and man.

Remember a reputation for good judgement and common sense is more easily lost than gained.

3. Never forget to trust in the Lord completely, especially when it’s the choice between what God has declared on the one hand, and what human wisdom dictates on the other, be it your own or somebody else’s!

4. Remember to put God first in everything you do and let His priorities and perspectives be your guiding light.

As you make the effort to keep these teachings in mind you can expect such diligence to crown your efforts with success.

The joy and peace of believers arise chiefly from their hopes. What is laid out upon them is but little, compared with what is laid up for them; therefore the more hope they have the more joy and peace they have. – Henry
Satan would tempt us to despair; but good hope keeps us trusting in God and rejoicing in him. – Henry
Youth fades; love droops, the leaves of friendship fall; A mother’s secret hope outlives
them all. – Holmes
What is hope? Hope is wishing for a thing to come true; faith is believing that it will come true. Hope is wanting something so eagerly that-in spite of all the evidence that you’re not going to get it-you go right on wanting it. And the remarkable thing about it is that this very act of hoping produces a kind of strength of its own. – Peale
