WELCOME TO THIS CHRISTIAN WEBSITE

Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 128,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of a Prophetic Word for Today, A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Just a Thought by Aaron Linford. Also, a Choice Quotation and a miniature message from the Psalms that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

A PROPHETIC WORD FOR YOU

Your LORD is ever full and fresh and desires to meet and minister to you today from this position so your life and service will manifest fullness and freshness. This is a season of His good-will toward you where your life receives divine invigoration and inspiration so that you are as a giant refreshed. You will be enabled to cope with all that comes across your pathway because there will be that inner consciousness that He is resourcing you out of His infinite treasury. As you minister out of His fullness and freshness you will see its impact on others and yet sense at the same time you also are experiencing such. The LORD does not want you in a dried-up and withered state, but abounding in life so that others may receive through you that which will make a difference to their day and life.

A GOLDEN PROMISE

“He gives power to the weak, and to them that have no might He increases strength . . . But those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength . . . .” – Isaiah 40: 20-31

JUST A THOUGHT by Aaron Linford

THE OLD MAN OF MOW

Mow Cop is a rocky eminence north of the Potteries, overlooking the Plain of Cheshire. From a hollow near the summit rises a stony pillar which in profile (plus a little imagination) looks like an old man at prayer – hence the sobriquet – “OLD MAN”.

But more interesting is the cross etched into one of the rock faces. It is a surveyor’s sign, but remarkably it represents the boundary between two neighbouring parishes, it also is the dividing point between the See of Lichfield and the See of Chester, further still it marks the division of the Province of York and the Province of Canterbury. It is the ecclesiastical centre of England.

And the Cross of Calvary is the centre of the divine scheme of salvation, the hinge of all Christian experience, the focal point of all Biblical theology. May we go further‘? The vast Cosmos centres for its life and existence on the Cross of Christ. Around it circle all God’s purposes for the created universe.

lt was there that “righteousness and peace” embraced (Ps 85:10), where God’s grace “kissed a guilty world in love”, where penitent sinners still find pardon.

CHOICE QUOTATIONS

“We judge ourselves by what we feel capable of doing, while others judge us by what we have already done.” – Longfellow

“A buried talent is never a buried treasure. Talents become treasures only through use” – Rupert

A MINIATURE MESSAGE – Taken from the Psalms

THE BLESSING OF THE RIGHTEOUS – Psalm 5

The psalmist is possessed with this conviction because he knows it is true – “For You, LORD, will bless the righteous, with favour will you surround him as with a shield” – v12. Not only will there be divine and full protection and preservation, there will be an overflowing life of blessing. It is a blessed thing to be ‘righteous’. The psalm depicts those who fall into this grouping.

1/. THERE WILL BE A DAILY SEEKING OF THE LORD’S FACE IN PRAYER AND COMMUNION –v1, 2
As regular, spiritual devotion is maintained, his contact with heaven is secure and his faith and conduct will be sanctified and inspired from above, thus righteousness will be maintained and a preservation from all that is of an evil nature and order.

2/. THERE WILL BE THE CONSTANT RECOGNITION THAT THE WICKEDNESS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO THE LORD – vv4-6
There is a keen awareness sensed as to what the Lord thinks about wickedness and the wicked and there is no desire to be found in such a company. There is no intention to be categorised with such and with a uch a way of life. Like Christ: there is only the will ‘to do that which pleases the Father’ – John 8:29.

3/. THERE WILL BE THE KNOWLEDGE THAT WORSHIP OF THE LORD IS VTTAL TO PRESERVE HIM FROM THE WAY OF THE WICKED – vv7-10
The best therapy and occupation to maintain a righteous state is to sustain a genuine worship and acknowledgement of the LORD. Not only is the house ever in mind the commitment to worship prevails in being and conduct. The evil one and evil does not get a look in.

4/. THERE WILL BE EVER PRESENT A SPIRIT OF TRUST AND REJOICING IN THE LORD – vv11, 12
The righteous are always on their toes and ever engage in practise that blesses and benefit. Being trustful and joyful are key factors that keep in a healthy condition and in a state that is God approved. The inevitable result is the ‘favour of the LORD surrounds’.
