WELCOME TO THIS CHRISTIAN WEBSITE

Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 128,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of a Prophetic Word for Today, A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Just a Thought by Aaron Linford. A Choice Quotation and a miniature message from the Psalms that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful

A PROPHETIC WORD FOR YOU

Whilst you can thank God for all your yesterdays, reflecting on all His grace and goodness that has been clearly shown, such is merely the platform for the experiencing of so much more that will enrich you in every way. What the Lord has commenced He continues to do until He has wholly completed His vast intentions. The promise hold goods for you: “He who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” – Philippians 1: 6. He never stops until He has accomplished His purposes so take assurance from this. You may give up on yourself, and others, too, may not be too helpful but this is never can be said of Him. He will encourage and boost you every day and all the way. So be divinely confident today that you are going to move ahead and fulfil your chosen and choice destiny. Let no one and nothing frustrate this glorious end.

A GOLDEN PROMISE

“The LORD is your Keeper. The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore” – Psalm 121: 5, 8

JUST A THOUGHT by Rev. Aaron Linford

SHE LET HER HAIR DOWN

So it is said of Mary of Bethany (John 12:3). But it was not in abandonment, it was in embarrassment. At the feast where Jesus was honoured quest, she had a sudden surge of emotion. Why should not Jesus have her treasured ointment? He was worth it: what does expense matter? You cannot weigh all things in terms of gold. She could not reach His head as He reclined at table, but His feet were stretched out behind Him. She poured the precious perfume on them. But suddenly realising that she attracted attention from the crowded room, she looked for a napkin to wipe up the excessive lotion. She had none – she let her hair down (a shameful exhibition!) and tenderly wiped Jesus’ feet.

In doing so she gave herself a holy shampoo. The fragrance she lavished on her Lord was now part of her town cosmetic condition. She exuded the same perfume as Jesus did. Nay, more so, that fragrance permeated the whole festal chamber, and has since filled the ages of time and the realms of grace.
So those exuberance’s of holy love not only glorify the Saviour on whom they are expended in worship, those who so adore their Lord become fragrant with His fragrance and sound out far and wide the fragrance of His name.

A CHOICE QUOTATION

“A number of materialistic thinkers have ascribed to blind evolution more miracles, more improbable coincidences and wonders, than all the teleologists could ever devise” – Isaac Bashevis Singer
“If man is not a divinity, then man is a disease. Either he is the image of God or else he is the one animal which has gone mad” – G. K. Chesterton

A MINIATURE MESSAGE – Taken from the Psalms

Rev. E. Anderson

THE SAFETY OF THE FAITHFUL
There is no doubt about it, those who turn to the Lord for help and security will surely find it in and through Him. This is what David reveals in this psalm and is illustrated greatly in His life.

1/. PRAYER IS THE ROUTE TO SECURITY – v1
Because David knows his Lord and has proved His presence and help on so many occasions, He believes He is still around to respond and is willing to work on his behalf. He has never given up on God and in new situations h eis conscious that he can still find His great assistance. In prayer he finds strength and an aware the Lord is around to listen and respond. He doesn’t have to give into fear or the negative.

2/. PERSUASION OF A DEEP CONVICTION POSSESION HIS BEING – vv2, 3.
It does not matter what may be formed against him by others he is not overly disturbed. Although he may be demeaned and lied about by such wickd people and forces He has a good anchor. He knows He is surrounded and supported by the Lord and that is enough. He can withstand all that opposes aware that the Lord watches and will safeguard him and his interests. As long as he is faithful to the Lord so the Lord will be faithful to him – “The LORD will hear . . . .”

3/. POSITION TO BE ADOPED TO PROVE HIS FAITHFULNESS – vv4, 5, 6
There are three things that are required:
1. A calm disposition and not being provoked by sin.
2. Meditation on the Lord in the time of restfulness.
3. Simply quietly trusting Him even when others may be making provocative words to create fear and doubt. The Lord will lift up the light of His countenance and that will be enough.

4/. PRODUCTION TO BE ENJOYED THROUGH HIS FAITHFULNESS – vv7, 8
The end result of this is noteworthy: a twofold condition is the end result.
1. A tremendous sense and experience of gladness – v7
2. A glorious state of restfulness and peace – v8
