These are but points to ponder that will initiate a greater comprehending of God’s mind and procedures. He desires that there should be a knowing of His sovereign plans and purposes so that life, ministry and service will be enriched and enhanced by His input. There is a revelation that His “thoughts and ways” are infinitely superior to ours – Isaiah 55:8, 9. We need to know and embrace them so that we might be able to achieve and succeed according to His desire and determinations. God bless you in your quest.

THE WAY OF POWER
READING Zechariah 4
INTRODUCTION
God thoughts to us, are to be known within His Word and by the revelation of His Spirit, and reveal to the true and pure way of and to power. It is not by the route of men and by the natural. Amongst men, power corrupts but this is not to be so in and with those who have an accord with Him and seek to live within His designs.
DIVINE PURPOSE: God does not desire to see mankind in a weak and impotent condition of being, life and work. He was never made originally to be in this kind of state. He was created in order that both character and gift may be fully exploited and that the divine potential be released in everything. DIVINE PROCEDURE: Of course, in the planning and arrangements of God, there is a route to the possession of divine power that enables a person to accomplish things in a divine and successful manner. By the means of sanctity, humility, faith and devotion through and to God there is the way to dynamic living and enterprise. DIVINE POSSIBILITY: Without doubt the possibility is presented and it is up to each individual to accept God’s way and move into a powerful life-style. The promise is given in Zech. 4:6. In looking to God as the source and resource, there are tremendous possibilities for all. There is divine power to secure everything.
(1) DIVINE POWER TO POSSESS A UNIQUE RELATIONSHIP – John 1: 12-13
This is where it all commences: the right to become a child of God and to enter into all the rights of divine sonship. It is possible for a son of man to become a son of God and this is only through Jesus Christ. As the Son of God He has the right to make sons of God through His person and work – see Rom. 8: 15, 16; Gal. 3: 26 – 4: 7.
(2) DIVINE POWER TO PRODUCE A NEW QUALITY OF LIFE – Galatians 5: 22, 26
The old carnal, sinful nature has only the capacity to produce evil and a conduct of life that is degrading and destructive. Paul shows in Romans 7 how all men have been corrupted by the evil principle and rule of sin and how there is not the ability to effect a good and wholesome life. But through a new law of life of the Spirit of God received through Christ, a holy, profitable and meaningful quality of life is brought into being.
(3) DIVINE POWER TO FULFIL AN EFFECTIVE MINISTRY – Ephesians 4: 12 Romans 12
God has ordained that everyone receives abilities in order to perform a beautiful role in terms of work and service. One of the ends of salvation and adoption is service – Eph. 2: 10. He wants us performing at the highest level and to the greatest good and profit. Many gifts and ministries are available. No one need be impotent and useless.
(4) DIVINE POWER TO BECOME A POWERFUL TESTIMONY – Acts 1: 8
We are to be a living witness of the life and dynamic of Christ. As He was so are we to be. He not only gave His life for us, He comes to live inside of us to show forth His grace and gifts so that others can have living evidence of Himself – Galatians 2: 20.
(5) DIVINE POWER TO ACCOMPLISH A DESTINY – Rev. 1: 6
He wants us to be able to act in a kingly and priestly role, to rule and have accord with Him/ men. Man was made to have dominion and act on behalf of God in a wholesome spiritual relationship, to mediate in oneness with Him and to bear divine influence in all of creation. This is both the immediate and ultimate destiny and this must become the reality. Man was made for great status and success.
CONCLUSION
The limitation, it can be seen and noted, is not with God. It is imperative that we be initiated into this revelation of God’s way to power in all these areas.
There should be the will to desire and to appropriate His calling and summons in this and move on to reflect, on all fronts, His divine power to God’s glory and to the fulfillment of His great and good goals for our lives. Sin is missing out on His great design for living – Romans 3:23.
