Top ten ways for a leader to AVOID HAVING AN AFFAIR
Indecent Proposal People have affairs for a whole list of reasons. Sometimes they’re a way of escape from a difficult time and sometimes they develop out of a desire for extra pleasure in good times. Even the euphoria of success can become a vulnerable time for extra-curricular activity. They come in the guise of romance, mystery, beauty, and seduction. They often occur at work. Under the adventure lie the destructive forces of disloyalty and deception,
1/. Keep on the front line
David fell not because he was an adulterer, but because he wasn’t with the troops when he should have been. Always be on the front line of God’s progressive vision for your life.
2/. Keep on the same tracks
If you’re attracted to someone of the opposite sex, don’t go out of your way to foster relationship. Keep doing what you usually do.
3/. Keep your mind on the job
Don’t allow your mind to fantasise about anyone you’re attracted to. Keep your meditations pure and focused on God’s will for your life.
4/. Keep your mouth in check
Don’t share the details of personal problems between you and your partner with someone of the opposite sex. Don’t allow a potential wedge to be placed between you and your ordained relationship. Don’t compare your partner to anyone else.
5/. Keep your questions down
Don’t ask questions about really personal stuff that relates to someone of the opposite sex. . You can do without bonding your soul with anyone except your partner, your family and close friend s of the same sex.
6/. Keep your company safe
Don’t be found alone in the private company of someone you’re attracted to or even someone you think you could be attracted to.
7/. Keep your hands off
If you are going a hug to say goodbye, make sure it’s short and sweet and you only do it in the company of others.
8/. Keep your eyes from wandering
People who like each other often share glances across a room. Make sure that you’re not looking for anyone’s eyes across the other side of a room. Only have eyes for the right person.
9/. Keep lines of openness
If you find a special attraction that cannot be stopped by points 1-8, tell someone and get them to pray for you and work with you in support and wisdom.
10/. Keep your head on
Don’t exchange your birthright for a fleeting pleasure. Weigh up the consequences of sin. Don’t get intoxicated by circumstances or by wine. Always be sober and alert.
