WONDERFULLY HEALED FROM CANCER

Christine Buxton

I was married when I was just over sixteen years of age. Six weeks prior to the birth of my son the back-stove in the kitchen backfired while I was putting coal on. It set me alight from my breast upwards. I was alone and panic stricken, not thinking, I ran outside ablaze. A neighbour who was cleaning his car was the only person about and was able to put out the fire, burning his own hands in the process. He fetched my mother from a friend’s house near by.

I was taken to Mansfield General Hospital and admitted with 3rd degree burns. As stated, I was only six weeks from having my baby, up to that time the child’s movements were strong. But after the accident the activity ceased, I prayed and asked God to spare my child’s life. Eight hours later I knew that the Lord had heard as my baby’s movements became strong and was born a perfect baby.

Six years ago, where I had been burnt, the scar tissue turned to skin cancer. I had a private appointment with a cancer specialist, who, after examining me said he we have to take a biopsy and due to the burn scarring it would never heal and to back in  two weeks for the results.

It was on a Tuesday that I asked for prayer and our church, besides Benny Hinn prayed. The following Saturday my husband was at work on nights and through the night I experienced an encounter with God. I sensed I entered heaven and heard the angels glorifying the Lord in song, sing, ‘Holy is the Lord.’ Although I did not see His face I heard His voice saying: ‘Fear not my child, I am going to shrivel it up ( the cancer) and you will be made whole.’ It was an awesome experience and I shared it with my husband.

The day I was due back to see the specialist, whilst taking a shower, I caught the dressing and it came away with the cancer which dropped into my hand. On visiting the specialist I was told, ‘I am sorry but you have skin cancer.’ I quickly replied: ‘No I haven’t because the Lord has healed me’. I gave him the dressing which contained the cancer tissue. He was very skeptical. He never gave me any other treatment or any other appointment.

Two years ago my own doctor believed that the skin cancer had returned and made an urgent appointment for the next day at King’s Mill Hospital saying, ‘This time you are not going to pay again’. At the hospital a different specialist after examining me brought in another consultant in for their opinion and both said it was skin cancer and needed an operation at the out-patient clinic. Once again the ministers and church at Eastwood Hill top prayed.

I went for the operation but on further investigation the skin cancer no longer existed. All were amazed and stated that it took three medical opinions agreed it was skin cancer. After the operation it was said I would have a skin graft and arrangements were made for this to take place in the Nottinghamshire City Hospital.

I asked if I could see the skin graft specialist before accepting the bed they had for me. An out-patient clinic appointment was made. The specialist examined me and said it required no skin graft. I have had no trouble with it since. The Lord has truly healed me and to Him be all the glory

TOP 10 ways for leaders to kill the ‘old man.’

Make a killing. Followers blame the Devil for too many things. Leaders know that our greatest enemy is ourselves. The Bible says that it’s our own ‘evil desires’ that cause the trouble. The only power the Devil has in our lives is the power we give him through activating the ‘old man’ and giving into our ‘evil desires.’ A man had a dream where he saw the Devil crying in the gutter beside a road. He asked the Devil why he was so sad and he answered ‘Because people keep blaming me for things I never did.’ Leadership takes responsibility and ownership of the real problem.

  1. suffocation

Jacob said that Judah’s hands would be on the neck of his enemies. Judah means ‘praise.’ Fill the air with praise and worship and suffocate the ‘old man.’

  2.  Starvation.

The one that wins in the wrestling match between the ‘old man’ and the ‘new man’ is the one you feed the most. Give the ‘old man’ no food and he’ll run out of fuel.

  3.   Conviction.

The Holy Spirit convicts us when we are about to activate the ‘old man’. Listen to your conscience and to the guardian of your mind – the peace of God.

  4.   Redemption.

The ‘old man’ is crucified with Christ. God sees you as if you’ve never sinned. The slate is clean and God’s power is more than enough for a life of total victory.

  5.   Motivation.

Increase your vision of God and your God-given future, and your desire to sin will greatly decrease. In the words of the famous song ‘the things on earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.’

  6.   Ramification.

Do a little thinking about the effect of your private life could have upon your public life. The sin could grow into the stuff that ruins marriages and ministries.

  7.   Restoration.

The more you obey, the more God restores – the fractures of the soul are healed and the Devil finds it more difficult to tempt you. His foot-holding ability is diminished.

  8.   Decision.

The greatest power you have is the power of decision. Resist the Devil and he’ll finally stop annoying you.

  9.  Magnification.

As you magnify the successes of the ‘new man’, you’ll create the unsung power of momentum.

  10.  Repetition.

The more you do the right thing, the less you do the wrong thing. The more you create good habits, the more you break bad habits. Bible Extra    Galatians 2: 20; 5: 16-25; 1 Timothy 1:5; James 1: 13-15; 4: 5-10
